bet365 has announced that its Sub On Play On promotion has paid out £30m globally across the first 11 days of the 2026 World Cup.
The feature applies to selected player betting markets. If a selected player is substituted, the bet can roll over to the player who replaces them, with the original odds unchanged. If the original player has already met the requirement before being substituted, bet365 settles the selection as a winner.

According to bet365, the offer has already produced a series of significant customer returns during the tournament, with several substitute appearances proving especially costly for the bookmaker.

bet365’s Steve Freeth highlighted Bradley Barcola replacing Ousmane Dembele in France’s match against Senegal as the biggest return so far. Crysencio Summerville’s goal and assist after replacing Donyell Malen against Sweden was another major result for punters.
Marcus Rashford also delivered for those who had backed Anthony Gordon in England’s opener against Croatia, while Deniz Undav has generated notable returns despite playing only 56 minutes at the tournament so far.
