Game Week-7
Friday 03rd
BOURNEMOUTH v FULHAM
20.00 in England
Sky Sports
Bournemouth gained a point from a draw by a 2-2 score against Leeds at Elland Rd on Saturday.
Antoine Semenyo scored the opener to give the Cherries a lead, before Leeds equalised to take both teams in level at the break.
It was then the home team that scored to go in front and with time virtually up on the clock and a defeat pending, Eli Junior Kroupi, who was a late substitute sent on by Andoni Iraola in the 81st minute, popped up with the equaliser in the 93rd minute to knock the stuffing out of the West Yorkshire Puddings and give both teams a point a piece from the Archbishop’s favourite scoreline.
Bournemouth sit in 6th place with the same 11 points as Sunderland and Tottenham from the opening 6 games completed.
Fulham suffered a defeat against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.
After Raul Jimenez scored in the 3rd minute to give Fulham an early lead, Villa scored an equaliser just before half-time to take both teams in level at the break.
It was then the Villa Show with the home team scoring 2 quick-fire goals in 90 seconds just after the restart to take the game away from Fulham.
With no further goals, Fulham suffered the loss by a 3-1 scoreline.
That leaves Marco Silva’s Cottagers in 11th place with the same 8 points as Leeds United, Brighton, Everton and Chelsea from the opening 6 fixtures.
Just a quick note regarding that game between Fulham and Aston Villa, a few media outlets gave the Man of the Match to Fulham’s Raul Jimenez.
That doesn’t really make sense does it?
A ‘Man of the Match’ (and it is Man as its Men who are playing!) award should be given to a player on the winning team.
If your team loses, there’s no point being the best player on the pitch.
Antoine Semenyo scored for Bournemouth after a minute when Fulham visited the Vitality last season.
The strange anomaly then was that there were no further goals in the remainder of the game, leaving the Cherries with the victory over the Cottagers by a 1-0 scoreline.
Betfred offer Bournemouth at slight Odds On 9/10, the Draw at 12/5 and 3/1 for Fulham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Antoine Semenyo Scores First and 7/4 that Bournemouth Score in Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Saturday 04th
LEEDS UNITED v TOTTENHAM
12.30 in England
TNT Sports
Leeds United are defying the odds of relegation fodder at the moment playing some great football and getting some good positive results from the opening 6 games.
The latest being a point from a draw by a 2-2 score against Bournemouth at Elland Rd on Saturday.
After conceding a Cherries goal, Joe Roden scored an equaliser to take both teams in level at the break.
The excellent Sean Longstaff scored for the Whites just after the restart and with time virtually up on the clock, it did appear as if a win was on the cards, however, not to be, with Bournemouth scoring a very late equaliser to give both teams a share of the points.
Although the late goal did temporarily knock the stuffing out of Daniel Farke’s Whites, the lads should be proud of gaining a point against a very good Bournemouth team.
One thing that maybe is a concern is that Leeds don’t seem to have a prominent goal scorer and rely on the whole team to get the goals, which is great in some ways but that’s probably only as an addition to when a Top Boy is banging in the goals.
This column usually puts up a ‘Player to Score First’ and most teams have one or two obvious ones, such as Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak or Bukayo Saka etc but one struggles to offer up a ‘First Goal Scorer’ for Leeds United.
Leeds sit in 12th place with the same 8 points as Fulham, Brighton, Everton and Chelsea, all having completed 6 games.
The West Yorkshire Puddings ventured off into the Leeds City Centre, looking for a cheap Pub where they could purchase a pint that came with 4 straws to share, all singing the iconic tune,
‘Marching On Together!’
This fixture has the potential to see The Gray Brothers take on each other.
What’s meant by that is most will now have seen and come across the exceptional talent of Archie Gray, who came through the Leeds United Academy making his Leeds Debut aged 17 and then signing for Tottenham at the start of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, aged 18.
Archie was named as a substitute by Marcelo Bielsa aged just 15 but didn’t take to the field until aged 17.
Archie is the Son of the ex-(number of clubs including Barnsley) Striker Andy Gray, who himself is the Son of the Leeds United and Scotland International Player Frank Gray and the Nephew of the Leeds and Scotland Legend, Frank’s Brother Eddie Gray.
What’s probably not known about Andy and Archie Gray, is that Andy has 4 Sons meaning Archie has 3 Brothers.
The next Gray on the football taxi rank is Harry Gray, who will be 17 on the 8th of October.
Like Archie, Harry has been thrown into the Leeds United squad early doors for this season but has yet to make an appearance.
The youngster was on the bench for the Leeds United v Wolves fixture a couple of weeks ago but didn’t get on the pitch.
It would be a great story if the two Gray Brothers were on the pitch at the same time today, if not just to see them kick lumps out of each other, like when they played in the back garden at the Family Gray home.
Tottenham themselves drew at the weekend, surprisingly gaining a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against bottom-of-the-table Wolves.
After a goalless 1st-half, Wolves took the lead in the 54th minute and were looking good for all 3 points until Joao Palhinha scored a stunning equaliser in the 94th minute to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat.
It’s early days in the reign of Thomas Frank as Tottenham Boss.
Tottenham sit in 4th with the same 11 points as Sunderland and Bournemouth from the opening 6 games.
However, if one looks at the way those 11 points have been accrued, then the faithful and the critics could rightly be concerned.
A win against Burnley in the opener, probably 3 expected points.
A win against Man City, 3 points that maybe weren’t expected, total=6.
A home defeat against Bournemouth, total=6.
A win against West Ham, 3 points from a struggling team under a poor Manager (who has now been sacked) so expected, total=9.
A draw against Brighton, probably considered as a good result now, considering Tottenham were trailing by 2 goals, total=10.
Finally a draw against Wolves, which due to Wolves being bottom of the table and not having a point on the board and Tottenham being at home, as to be considered a poor result, total=11.
So from the outside looking in and with no affiliation to Tottenham, 11 points from the results against the teams faced, is maybe not as many as what could have been.
Tottenham travel to Norway on Tuesday to face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League-League Phase, so the travelling and the quick turnaround for this early Saturday kick-off could have a bearing on today’s play.
It was the final fixture of the 2022/23 campaign when these two teams last met at Elland Rd.
Goals from Pedro Porro, Lucas Moura and a couple from Harry Kane gave Tottenham, under the guidance of the Caretaker Manager Ryan Mason, the away-day victory over Leeds by a 4-1 scoreline.
Jack Harrison scored for Leeds when Tottenham had 2 on the board.
If one remembers, Leeds United were under the guidance of Sam Allardyce who had been drafted in to try and avoid relegation, which ultimately, didn’t occur with Leeds returning to the Championship following this game.
In the fixture at the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier in the campaign, Antonio Conte’s Spurs got the win over Jesse Marsch’s Whites by a 4-3 scoreline.
Added to that, the game at Elland Rd in the 2021/22 season, saw Tottenham again score 4 in a 4-0 victory.
That suggests there should be goals today.
Betfred offer Leeds United at 15/8, the Draw at 9/4 and 11/8 for Tottenham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Dominic Calvert-Lewin Scores First and 9/4 that Brennan Johnson Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

ARSENAL v WEST HAM
15.00 in England
It was a strange old Game Week-6, where results weren’t as obvious as first predicted.
Leeds United gained a great point from a draw against Bournemouth.
As did Wolves, who were a minute away from causing an upset at the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, only to see Tottenham score a very late equaliser.
Crystal Palace scored a late winner against Liverpool to stun Arne’s New Slots.
Sunderland got a brilliant victory against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Whilst a great result for the Black Cats, it was probably more to do with Evangelos Marinakis deciding to sack Nuno Espírito Santo and bring in Ange Postecoglou, or better known as Ange Cost-a-team-a-few.
As for Nuno, the Portuguese Manager didn’t have to claim Universal Credit for long, as the lad was back in work at the London Stadium, following Graham Potter’s sacking.
Was it considered a shock to see Brentford get a victory over Manchester United?
Probably not any more as United are treading water at the moment, just waiting for Ruben Amorim’s 12-month anniversary clause to pass and then the ex-Sporting Lisbon Gaffer will be down the concrete, joining Graham Potter in filling out the Job Seekers Application Form.
What’s meant by that is Ruben has a clause in his contract that states United have to pay him £12 Million if they sack him before he’s completed 12 months, which comes up on the 11th of November.
One won’t be surprised if the so-called ‘Breaking News’ on the 12th is ‘Ruben Amorim is sacked!’
Added to that, it’s an ideal time as that will coincide with another International Break.
As this is a ‘prediction column’ John Newsome predicts that Sir Gareth Southgate will be the next Manchester United Manager.
‘Sir’ Gareth, the giving them out to everyone nowadays!
Brighton gaining a victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge could be considered a shock result.
Probably the only result which wasn’t a shock was Man City’s victory over Burnley by a 5-1 score.
Arsenal did eventually get a victory over Newcastle at St James Park.
However, the Gunners left it very late with Gabriel heading home the winner in the 96th minute.
After conceding a Newcastle goal and trailing at the break, Mikel Merino scored an equaliser in the 84th minute.
With time virtually up on the clock, it appeared that a draw was on the cards, before the Big Defender headed home the winner from a Martin Odegaard cross.
That really is the ‘Mark of Champions’ in a weekend where strange results have occurred.
Pep and Arne (who sound like characters from the Muppets) were probably sitting at home in their Newcastle Jerseys thinking Arsenal had only managed a draw.
The win leaves Mikel’s Young Guns in 2nd place with 13 points from the opening 6 games played.
Just 2 points adrift of Liverpool at the summit.
Arsenal face Olympiacos at the Emirates on Wednesday in the Champions League-League Phase.
The following was written in last week’s EveryTip column-
‘Graham Potter is under serious pressure, following another defeat for West Ham, this time against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
With Nuno Espírito Santo now available due to falling out with the Greek Bloke at the City Ground, it does appear that Graham’s time at the London Stadium is coming to an end.’
That was confirmed before the start of Game Week-6, with West Ham’s fixture against Everton not being played until Monday, the Hammers Board decided to pull the plug on Graham and bring in Nuno, giving the ex-Forest Manager a couple of days to assess the situation at the London Stadium.
Under Nuno, West Ham gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
After conceding an Everton goal in the 1st-half to trail at the break, Jarrod Bowen scored a brilliant equaliser midway through the 2nd-half to give the Hammers a share of the points in Nuno’s first game in charge.
West Ham stay in 19th place with the same 4 points as Burnley from the opening 6 games completed.
Things should improve under Nuno Espírito Santo, however, one player who might not be happy the ex-Forest Boss is in at the London Stadium is James Ward-Prowse.
JWP went on loan to the City Ground at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, however, something must have happened between James and Nuno as the Midfielder returned to the London Stadium in February and played in the Hammers team under Graham Potter for the remainder of the season.
James has then started every game this season, until Monday Night Football’s fixture against Everton where Nuno came in a dropped JWP, not only from the starting eleven but from the whole match-day squad.
Ouch!
That might just be a statement from Nuno to say,
‘I’m the Boss now!’
So it will be interesting to see if James is back for this game against Arsenal.
In last season’s affair between these two at the Emirates, it would probably be a surprise for everyone to hear that West Ham got the away day victory over Arsenal by a 1-0 scoreline.
Jarrod Bowen with the solitary winning goal just before the half-time cup of tea.
That was in February this year and could be considered Graham Potter’s best result as West Ham Manager.
In the fixture at the Emirates back in the 2023/24 campaign, West Ham also got the away day victory, so the Hammers do have form against the Gunners on Arsenal’s home patch.
Betfred offer Arsenal at Odds On 1/5, the Draw at 5/1 and 12/1 for West Ham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Bukayo Saka Scores First and slight Odds On 8/11 that Arsenal Score in Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

MANCHESTER UNITED v SUNDERLAND
15.00 in England
If one woke up after a few years in a Cryogenic Environment and was asked-
‘Which one of these teams sits in 5th place after 6 games of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign and which team sits in 14th?’
The said Cryo-Man (or Woman) would just reply,
‘Obviously Manchester United are in 5th and Sunderland are 14th!’
Well, Sleeping Beauty, it’s Sunderland that sits in 5th place and Manchester United are lucky to be in 14th, with just 7 points, which is 3 above the relegation zone.
United were shocking against Brentford at the GTech Stadium on Saturday.
The game in West London kicked off at 12.30 PM which, with the way United played, seemed to have confused the away team.
Picture this-
Quarter to 12 in the team hotel, the United Kit-Man running around banging on the doors-
‘Bloomin eck, wake up lads, kick-offs at half 12 not 8 o’clock tonight, Michelle’s got it wrong!’
Then all the players rushed to the GTech and took to the pitch in time to see Brentford walk all over them.
After conceding 2 goals before 20 minutes were on the clock, Benjamin Sesko scored his first United goal to halve the deficit at the interval.
United were then awarded a penalty midway through the 2nd-half, to get the chance to level the score.
Unfortunately, the usually reliable Captain Bruno Fernandes saw his tame spot kick saved.
With time running out, Brentford scored a 3rd to inflict a defeat on United by a 3-1 scoreline.
Rumours that Bryan Mbeumo tried to get on the Brentford Coach and go back home were fiercely denied.
As mentioned, United sit in 14th place with the same 7 points as Brentford from the opening 6 games completed.
With a couple of Managers already sacked (Nuno Espírito Santo and Graham Potter) it could be considered a surprise as to why Ruben Amorim is still at United.
However, it has been documented in the Arsenal v West Ham preview above that there is a clause in Ruben’s contract which states that if United sack Mr Amorim before the First Anniversary of his tenure at Old Trafford, (November 11th) then they have to pay him £12 Million.
Any business person in their right mind and Sir Jim Radcliffe and the Ineos hierarchy are included in that, will surely wait another month or so before taking the action to sack Ruben Amorim and save £12 Million.
It won’t be a surprise if on the 12th of November, which is a couple of days after the fixture against Tottenham, news comes through which states Ruben Amorim has been sacked.
Added to that, it will be during an International Break.
The only slight caveat to that is Manchester United and Ruben Amorim have fixtures against Sunderland, Liverpool, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham before the 11th of November.
Can anyone say that United will win any of those fixtures?
So the £12 Million ransom may be paid before the 12-month deadline.
The next question is, who is out there to be the New Manchester United Manager?
John Newsome won’t be surprised if a certain Sir (Sir!) Gareth Southgate is being lined up to take charge on the 12th of November.
Sunderland gained a brilliant result against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.
When the fixtures were announced back in June, most teams including the Top Boys such as Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City would have looked out for the game against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground and pencilled ‘tough game’ at the side.
That would have included Regis Le Bris when seeing that his Sunderland team were to visit the City Ground on September 27th.
‘Tough game’ was then rubbed out when news broke that Nuno Espírito Santo had been sacked and replaced with Ange Cost-a-team-a-few.
Nottingham Forest are simply not the Forest team of the last few years now that Nuno is no longer in charge.
So Regis must have been rubbing his hands at the prospect of facing a Big Ange set of Tricky Trees.
Omar Alderete scored the only goal of the game at the City Ground to give Sunderland a brilliant away day victory over Forest by a 1-0 scoreline.
That leaves Sunderland, newly promoted Sunderland in 5th place with the same 11 points as Bournemouth and Tottenham.
As a certain Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara used to say,
Unbelievable Jeff!
It was Boxing Day in 2016 when a Sunderland team, under the guidance of David Moyes, last ventured across the country to face a Manchester United side at Old Trafford.
United were under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
Goals from Daley Blind, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave Manchester United the post-Christmas presents of 3-points from a victory over Sunderland by a 3-1 scoreline.
Fabio Borini got the Sunderland consolation goal when the score was 3-0 in favour of United.
Betfred offer Manchester United at Odds On 4/9, the Draw at 10/3 and 11/2 for Sunderland to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Bruno Fernandes Scores First and 6/4 that Manchester United Win To Nil.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL
17.30 in England
Sky Sports
Chelsea suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats on Saturday, this time losing against Brighton at Stamford Bridge by a 3-1 scoreline.
For the second successive game, Enzo’s Blues had a player sent off which totally changed the game.
Enzo Fernandez had scored in the 1st-half to give Chelsea a lead at the break.
Then the fun started when Trevoh Chalobah was adjudged to have denied the Brighton Striker Diego Gomez a goal-scoring opportunity and with some interference from the dreaded VAR, was shown a straight Red Card in the 53rd minute leaving Chelsea a man down for the remainder of the game.
Brighton took advantage of having the extra man and scored 3 times to run out winners.
Goals 2 and 3 went in after the 90 minutes were up on the clock, so the sending off did put a big strain on the Chelsea players for the second Premier League game in succession.
Chelsea sit in 8th place with the same 8 points as Everton, but still Brighton, Fulham and Leeds United, all having played 6 times.
Cole Palmer missed the game against Brighton through injury and will be out until after the International Break.
Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday with Arne’s New Slots succumbing to a loss against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park by a 2-1 scoreline.
Palace scored the opener after 9 minutes and were leading up until Federico Chiesa scored a late equaliser in the 87th minute.
When it appeared that Federico had earned Liverpool a point, Palace scored the winner in the 97th minute, leaving Arne’s Men with the first loss since Game Week-37 of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
A quick note regarding Hugo Ekitike.
Hugo missed the game against Crystal Palace due to being sent off against Southampton in the Carabao Cup the previous Wednesday.
Whilst a ‘sending off’ occurs from time to time and players miss games, Hugo’s absence was simply down to being daft!
Mr Ekitike was a substitute against Southampton and was introduced by Arne Slot at half-time replacing Alexander Isak, who had scored to give Liverpool a lead at the break.
Within 8 minutes of entering the field of play, Hugo was shown a Yellow Card.
No drama, it happens, players get booked all the time.
Then in the 86th minute, after Southampton had equalised, Hugo Ekitike scored what turned out to be the winner.
Whilst a brilliant occurrence, Hugo got caught up in the emotion of the game and decided to take his shirt off.
That prompted the referee to show the Striker a 2nd Yellow Card and the subsequent Red which meant that Hugo picked up a 1 game ban.
Note to Hugo Ekitike-
Keep your shirt on!
Liverpool remain at the summit of the Premier League with 15 points from the opening 6 games played, however, are now only 2 points clear of Arsenal, 3 points more than Crystal Palace, 4 points ahead of Tottenham, Sunderland and Bournemouth and now significantly, 5 points more than Man City, who, although sit in 7th place, do look as if they are the inform team along with Arsenal to mount a challenge for the title.
Liverpool travel to Turkey to face Galatasaray on Tuesday in Match Day-2 of the Champions League.
Chelsea are also in European action, however, they don’t need to travel, with the Blues taking on Benfica at Stamford Bridge on the same night.
Whether the travelling to Turkey will have a bearing on this game remains to be seen.
Chelsea got the victory over Liverpool in last season’s encounter between the two at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Fernandez scored the opener to give Chelsea a lead at the break.
An Own Goal from Jarrell Quansah and a Cole Palmer converted penalty gave Enzo’s Blues the win over Arne’s Slot Machines by a 3-1 scoreline.
Virgil Van Dijk with the Liverpool consolation goal when the score was 2-0.
Betfred offer Chelsea at 2/1, the Draw at 5/2 and 6/5 for Liverpool to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Alexander Isak Scores First and 13/8 that Liverpool Score in Both Halves.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Aston Villa’s goal famine finally ended against Fulham on Saturday.
After 4 Premier League games where Villa didn’t score, then getting one against Sunderland last time out, the scoring boots were on for Ollie Watkins, John McGinn and Emiliano Buendia who got the goals against the Cottagers giving Aston Villa the victory over Fulham by a 3-1 scoreline.
Fulham had scored first before Ollie notched.
The win lifts Villa to 16th with the same 6 points as Newcastle from the opening 6 games.
Aston Villa travel to the Netherlands on Thursday to face Feyenoord in the Europa League-League Phase.
Burnley suffered the expected defeat against Man City at the Etihad on Saturday.
Jaidon Anthony did score for the Clarets to equalise City’s opener, however, another 4 from the home team saw Burnley lose the game by a 5-1 scoreline.
The slight anomaly regarding the game was that the unfortunate Maxime Esteve scored, not 1 but 2 own goals, making him Man City’s 2nd highest goal scorer so far this season behind Erling Haaland.
Burnley sit in 18th place with the same 4 points as West Ham from the initial 6 fixtures played.
Aston Villa gained a narrow victory over Burnley by a 3-2 score when these two teams last met at Villa Park.
That was in December 2023, in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign before Vincent Kompany’s Clarets were eventually relegated at the end of the season.
Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby scored the 1st-half goals for Villa, with Zeki Amdouni replying leaving Burnley trailing at the break.
Sander Berge received the 2nd Yellow Card and the subsequent Red in the 56th minute leaving the Clarets a man down for the remainder of the game.
Lyle Foster did score an equaliser for 10-man Burnley, however, the extra man advantage eventually paid off for Villa with Douglas Luiz converting a penalty in the 89th minute to give the Claret and Blues the narrow win over the Clarets.
Aston Villa also gained the victory over Burnley in the earlier game at Turf Moor, giving Unai Emery the double over Vincent Kompany.
Betfred offer Aston Villa at Odds On 1/2, the Draw at 3/1 and 5/1 for Burnley to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 3/1 that Ollie Watkins Scores First and 7/5 that Aston Villa Win To Nil.

EVERTON v CRYSTAL PALACE
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
Everton gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against West Ham at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday Night Football.
Probably the Toffees were looking forward to an easy game against Graham Potter’s Harmless Hammers, however, the challenge changed when Graham was sacked and replaced by Nuno Espírito Santo whose new West Ham team put in a shift against Everton to gain a point.
Michael Keane scored first to give Everton a lead at the break.
West Ham equalised midway through the 2nd-half and with no further goals both teams shared the points.
It was apparent from the outside looking in and not with any Blue Coloured Glasses on, that Everton do need a Striker to put the ball in the back of the net.
Beto looks like Bambi on Ice and the replacement Thierno Barry doesn’t look much better.
If Iliman Ndiaye doesn’t score, it really looks like what happened on Monday and that Everton have to rely on a Defender scoring from a set piece or a speculative shot from any of the Midfielders.
That’s something that David Moyes will no doubt be working on.
Everton sit in 9th place amongst a cluster of clubs that all have 8 points, those being Leeds, Fulham, Brighton and Chelsea.
Crystal Palace are now the only team in the Premier League that are unbeaten, following Saturday’s game against Liverpool.
Ismaila Sarr scored first to give Palace a lead at the break.
Oliver Glasner’s Men were head and shoulders above Arne’s New Slots and although Palace conceded a late equaliser, it would have been a travesty if the game had finished level.
Eddie Nketiah scored the winner in the 97th minute to give Palace the points from a 2-1 scoreline.
Palace sit in 3rd place with 12 points from the opening 6 games.
Three points adrift of Liverpool at the summit.
Crystal Palace start their Europa Conference League campaign on Thursday against Dynamo Kiev or Kyiv as it’s now known.
The game is being played in Lublin, Poland, due to the war in Ukraine so the travelling could be a factor for Palace.
Sean Dyche’s Toffees gained a victory over Oliver Glasner’s Eagles in last season’s encounter at Goodison Park.
Marc Guehi scored first to give Palace a lead at the break.
It was then the Dwight McNeil show, the Dwight scoring 2 quick-fire goals early in the 2nd-half that gave Everton the win from a 2-1 scoreline.
David Moyes’ Toffees also got the victory by the same 2-1 scoreline over Oliver Glasner’s Eagles when the two met at Selhurst Park later on in the season.
Betfred offer Everton at 6/5, the Draw at 21/10 and 9/5 for Crystal Palace to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Jean-Philippe Mateta Scores First and 10/3 that Crystal Palace Win To Nil.

NEWCASTLE v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
Newcastle started well against Arsenal at St James Park on Sunday which saw Nick Woltemade score a great header to give the Magpies a lead at the break.
Unfortunately for the Toon Army in attendance, Arsenal eventually scored a winner to inflict a defeat on Newcastle by a 2-1 scoreline.
That leaves Eddie’s Boys in 15th place with the same 6 points as Aston Villa from the opening 6 games.
Newcastle head to Belgium on Wednesday to take on Union SG in the Champions League.
Forest are also in European action on Thursday, taking on Midtjylland at the City Ground in Match Day-2 of the Europa League-League Phase.
It’s not started well for Ange Postecoglou at the City Ground with his set of Tricky Trees suffering their 2nd Premier League defeat from the 3 that Big Ange has overseen, this time against Sunderland at the City Ground on Saturday.
Forest conceded the only goal of the game just before the half-time break to succumb to the loss by a 1-0 scoreline.
Forest have lost in the Carabao Cup and drawn in the Europa Conference League adding to a draw in the 3rd Premier League fixture overseen by Big Ange.
So 3 losses and 2 draws from the 5 games since Nuno left and Ange came in.
One suspects Mr Marinakis is happy with that.
Forest sit in 17th place with 5 points from the opening 6 games, 3 under Nuno Espírito Santo and 3 under Ange Postecoglou.
Newcastle gained the home victory over Nottingham Forest in last season’s affair between the two at St James Park.
The goals going in as follows-
6′ Callum Hudson-Odoi (Forest 0-1)
23′ Lewis Miley (Newcastle 1-1)
25′ Jacob Murphy (Newcastle 2-1)
33′ Alexander Isak- penalty (Newcastle 3-1)

So a team that has lost the first 5 games of the Premier League season scoring just 3 goals and conceding 12, heads to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Tottenham, who had won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 and somehow come away with a point from a draw by a 1-1 score.
Santiago Bueno got the Wolves’ goal just after the break.
With time running out, it did appear that a win was on the cards, however, Tottenham scored an equaliser in the 94th minute to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat.
It was still a great result for Wolves, which Vitor Pereira can now build on.
Wolves remain at the bottom of the table with 1 point from the opening 6 games.
Brighton smashed Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday gaining a victory by a 3-1 scoreline.
After Chelsea had scored in the 1st-half to lead at the break, the Blues had a player sent off just after the restart giving Brighton a man advantage for the remainder of the game.
That man advantage eventually paid off when Danny Welbeck scored the equaliser in the 77th minute then scored his 2nd and Brighton’s 3rd in the 100th minute.
Maxim De Cuyper scored the Seagulls’ 2nd in the 92nd.
Brighton sit in 10th place with the same 8 points as Leeds, Fulham, Everton and Chelsea.
It was Brighton that gained the away-day victory over Wolves in last season’s encounter between these two at Molineux.
Goals from Danny Welbeck and Brajan Gruda, 1 in each half, gave the Seagulls all 3 points from a 2-0 score.
Betfred offer Wolves at 11/4, the Draw at 5/2 and slight Odds On 10/11 for Brighton to come away with all 3-points.

The final fixture of Game Week-7 before another International Break which sees England face Craig Bellamy’s Wales team in a friendly at Wembley, before a World Cup Qualifier against Latvia in Riga on the 9th and 14th of October respectively.
There’s a final round of World Cup Qualifiers coming up after Game Week-11 in November which will hopefully confirm England’s (Scotland, Wales, Northern and the Republic of Ireland’s) place in next year’s tournament over in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
One won’t need a coat for World Cup’2026.
There are 8 sets of Premier League fixtures after the November International Break between the start of Game Week-12 on the 22nd of November and the end of December 2025.
Brentford were simply too good for Manchester United on Saturday, gaining a victory at the GTech Stadium by a 3-1 scoreline.
Igor Thiago scored twice to give the Bees a lead at the break.
United did score after Igor’s 2 to halve the deficit at half-time.
Nathan Collins fouled his old mate Bryan Mbeumo to concede a penalty midway through the 2nd-half, which could have seen the scores levelled, however, Bruno Fernandes saw his tame kick saved by Caoimhin Kelleher who was superb throughout.
With time running out, Mathias Jensen put the result to bed scoring the Bees’ 3rd goal in the 95th minute to give Keith Andrews’ men all 3 points.
Brentford sit in 13th place with the same 7 points as Manchester United from the opening 6 games played.
Man City got what could probably have been the only expected outcome of Game Week-6.
Whilst others struggled to get a win, including Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, City gained the victory over Burnley at the Emirates by a 5-1 scoreline.
Man City’s best player, him being the Burnley Defender Maxime Esteve, scored 2, count them, 2 Own Goals to gift City the win.
Erling Haaland scored twice himself, matching the unfortunate Maxime, with Matheus Nunes scoring when the score was level.
Burnley had equalised just before half-time.
The victory leaves Man City in 7th place with 10 points, however, whilst only in 7th, the confidence will have been restored, after seeing Liverpool suffer a loss.
Man City are now 5 points adrift of Liverpool after the opening 6 games played.
Man City take on Monaco over in France on Wednesday in Match Day-2 of the Champions League.
Both teams shared the points from a draw by a 2-2 score, when Man City ventured South to take on Brentford in last season’s affair at the GTech Stadium.
After a goalless 1st-half, Phil Foden was on fire, scoring twice to give City a 2-0 advantage going into the final 15 minutes or so.
Yoane Wissa pulled a goal back to halve the deficit in the 82nd minute before Christian Norgaard scored the equaliser in the 92nd minute to grab a draw from the jaws of defeat.
