Where the extra place helps most
KILKEE BAY is our biggest price of the day at 7/1 in the 17:05 at Killarney, one of three races where all four bookies are paying an extra place. IAMIMMACULATE at 11/2 in the 15:05 at the Curragh and TEDWORTH at 9/2 in the 15:20 at Killarney are the other two at bigger prices. The 14:10 at Killarney and the 17:25 at the Curragh both pay 5 places if enough runners start.

How it works
- Back your horse each way in one of the races above, with one of the bookies paying the extra place.
- If it finishes in one of the paid places, including the extra one, the place part pays out at 1/5 odds.
Key terms
- Each way bets only, placed before the off. Antepost bets do not count.
- Extra places depend on the number of runners. At Betfred, 3 places needs 7 or more runners, 4 places 12 or more and 5 places 16 or more; below that, normal place terms apply. Check each bookmaker’s own terms, as their runner rules can differ.
