Tim Lawson’s ITV Horse Racing Tips, Sat 7th July 2018

After tipping a 22/1 winner last week (Solar Flair), we are in buoyant form here, especially with the English game to enjoy later today.  There are no banker bets today but all selections are value picks.

Here is the ITV racing schedule for today.

Now back to our professional horse racing tips.

Sandown

12:20 The Coral Charge (Group 3) (Registered as the Sprint Stakes)

We are going to side with Judical today as it has come close to winning G3 before and will be suited by the going today. The trip is ideal. However, Muthmir has a great chance but we will side with the younger horse on this occasion.

4/1 Judicial

12:55 The Coral Challenge (Handicap)

This race does not look as competitive as it seems. Therefore we are willing to side with a Pouvoir Magique who even though is on a 6lb higher mark then its last win but has all the conditions to suit today.

Pouvoir Magique 15/2

13:30 The Coral Distaff

We are not a fan of any horse in this race so we will side with Roger Varian’s Narello which was recently acquired from Germany. At 2/1 you can also avoid this race if needs be, as still too many questions marks around this favourite.

Narello 2/1 Each Way

14:10 The Coral-Eclipse (Group 1) (British Champions Series)

This makes a very interesting race. While Roaring Lion has proved he can win under these conditions, he is now up against Saxon Warrior who definitely outclasses him. We also think the drop back to 1m2f will help Saxon Warrior. Forrest Ranger and Hawkbill also have decent each way chances.

Saxon Warrior 2/1

HAYDOCK

12:35 The Bet365 Handicap Stakes

No strong opinions on this race. Yes you guessed it, I do not like 3 year old handicap races! I will side with Making Miracles as has decent speed figures and good trainer/jockey at course stats.

Making Miracles 9/2 Each Way

13:10 The Bet365 Lancashire Oaks (Group 2)

God Given looks better value than Horseplay as they are both very evening matched on stats and speed figures

God Given 7/2

13:45 The Bet365 Old Newton Cup Handicap Stakes

This is a wide open race and we think all the following are worth considering:

Rainbow Rebel 18/1

Teodoro 15/2

Blakeney Point 10/1

Tawdeea 25/1
