Saturday Horse Racing Preview & Tips – 11th January – Harry’s Game Enough To Win At Warwick

A reasonably quiet weekend on the racing front with the television cameras at Warwick and Kempton. The latter has the Silviniaco Conti Chase and the Lanzarote Hurdle as the highlights, while Warwick puts up a novice hurdle and a novice chase along with a couple of handicaps. I have chosen four races that seem to represent best value for this week’s Lucky Fifteen. Starting with the Lanzarote at Kempton at 2.40, Olly Murphy sends his top class hurdler Notre Pari. He has been running consistently well this season culminating in a victory at Aintree on his latest start where he powered away from his rivals.

At Warwick in the 2.25 we can expect to see some top class novice hurdlers and the best of which could be Colin Tizzard’s Harry Senior who finally got his head in front last time at Chepstow after two seconds. His victory was by 5 lengths and Tizzard has high hopes for this horse. At 3.00 in the Handicap Chase Tom Lacey’s Kimberlite Candy is well fancied and must have a good chance but Fergal O’Brien sends Petite Power who ran second at Exeter last time after two wins earlier in the season. Finally at 3.35 in the Handicap Hurdle I will again side with Tedham. He has proved costly to follow since winning at Wincanton a year ago but was finishing well at Haydock last time and would have won if the race was 50 yards longer so he is taken to make amends here.

Saturday Lucky 15
2.40 Kempton. Notre Pari
2.25 Warwick. Harry Senior
3.00 Warwick. Petite Power
3.35 Warwick. Tedham
