ITV racing tips

Ed Chamberlin – Main ITV Racing Show Presenter

Started off his career working for Ladbrokes before joining Sky where he worked his way up the ladder, eventually getting the coveted main football hosting role on Sky Sports in 2011. He has a well-known passion for horse racing and moves into the anchor role for ITV racing in 2017. Let’s see if he tips better than Nick Luck!

Francesca Cumani – Main ITV Racing Show Co-Presenter

Many peoples’ surprise pick for the show, however, that’s because she cut her teeth TV presenting on the other side of the World. The ex-Australian Channel 7 and CNN horse racing presenter returns to her homeland to take a lead part in the ITV racing team. Also an amateur jockey and the daughter of one of the best horse trainers in the UK, Luca Cumani, she definitely knows her horse racing! Follow her tips closely!

Matt Chapman – Main ITV Show Betting Presenter And Reporter

MC Yeehaa himself, the Attheraces presenter of Get On & On The Line as well as a roving race track reporter of legendary proportions, heads to ITV in a massive coup for true racing fans as well as more recreational punters who may not have seen someone of his “high energy” calibre before. Make sure you follow Matt on twitter however we are not sure how accurate his tips are!

Oli Bell – ITV’s Weekly Racing Morning Magazine Show Presenter

Don’t let the boyish looks of Oli Bell deceive you. He has lots of presenting experience on Racing UK as well as in Australia and he will be the main presenter of the ITV racing morning TV show. We are looking forward to seeing ITV’s version of the morning line show. Oli’s tips should be trusted.

Richard Hoiles-  ITV’s Racing Lead Commentator

Richard has been a racecourse Commentator since the early 90’s and has also worked outside of the UK, most notably a 2 year stint for the Hong Kong Jockey Club as well as Japan, Canada, Dubai and Spain. He has worked on both RacingUK and Channel 4 and brings a ton of experience to the ITV racing team. He knows his stuff so his tips are well respected.

Mark Johnson – ITV’s Racing Co- Commentator

Mark is one of the best-known race callers in the UK and has called all the major classics as well as the top national hunt meetings. He has also covered the US and French racing for RacingUK. Like Richard, he also is a top tipster.

ITV Racing Panel Of Expert Pundits

Hayley Turner

Recently retired top female jockey has seamlessly moved into TV work. Her knowledge of current trainers and latest training regimes gives her tips a lot of credibility.

Mick Fitzgerald

One of the nicest men in TV racing circles and a welcome carryover from the Channel 4 racing team. One of the best national hunt jockeys and also one of the better performing tipsters on the old Channel 4 morning line show.

Jason Weaver

Jason works on Attheraces and also brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. The ex-UK flat jockey rode over 1000 winners during his 14-year career so his expertise and tips are most welcome.

Luke Harvey

His exuberant and enthusiastic demeanour makes him a popular choice for the ITV team. Long gone from the saddle, but still has the skills to pick the odd winner or two. Luke Harvey and Matt Chapman are two of the main reasons why Attheraces proved to be so successful.

Brian Gleeson

You cannot have a horse racing TV show without some Irish experts thrown in. While Mick Fitz has the practical knowledge, Brian has the theoretical knowledge and the form book wizard knows how to find a value selection.

Brough Scott

Legendary racing journalist and correspondent joins the ITV team to give it the class it deserves. He was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list in 2009 to celebrate his horse racing broadcasting career and we look forward to seeing him back on ITV where his TV racing career started 30 years ago.

ITV Racing VIP Contributors

Frankie Dettori

The aim of the ITV production team was a populist approach to win back fans to horse racing. The signing of Frankie Dettori is one sure fire way to get the recreational fan back interested in Saturday punting. Whenever commitments allow, Frankie will be part of the ITV team.

AP McCoy

Tony McCoy is the final name to be announced as part of the new ITV racing team. This legend played hard to get but thankfully ITV were able to persuade him to join their team of horse racing experts. I am sure his knowledge of JP McManus horse racing scoops will lead to some great insider tips during the big horse racing festivals!

Victoria Pendleton

Track cycling Olympic gold medalist caused quite a stir when she announced in 2015 that she was to become a jockey under the tutelage of Paul Nichols, with the aim of riding in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham Festival. She managed to not only compete but to come a very creditable 5th on board Pacha Du Polder in that event!

ITV Racing Reporters

Alice Plunkett

Alice is a former eventer and national hunt jockey who became a dab hand at horse racing reporting. She is also retained from the Channel 4 racing team and her jump racing tips should be well respected.

Rishi Persad

Rishi is one of the best horse racing reporters currently on the Racing UK and Channel 4 team. Coverage of UK horse racing would not be the same without him. He has a long background in horse racing and his selections are always worth noting.

Sally-Ann Grassick

New girl on the UK scene and set to make a big impact is Sally-Ann Grassick. She has been making a name for herself for a while now on Ireland’s RTE racing programme as well as France’s Equidia racing channel and must be looking forward to the big move to the ITV team.
