Paddy Power Acca Insurance Explained (2026)

Paddy Power acca insurance gives you your stake back as a free bet if one leg of a qualifying football accumulator lets you down. It has been one of Paddy Power’s longest-running offers, but its exact terms have changed several times, and different versions are in circulation.

Before you bet, check the current terms in the Paddy Power app or on its promotions page. When we checked Paddy Power’s promotions page in October 2026, acca insurance was not among the offers shown, so it may not be running in its usual form.

How Paddy Power acca insurance works

Every version of the offer we have seen works the same basic way:

1. Opt in, if required, and place a pre-match football accumulator that meets the minimum number of legs.
2. Every leg must be at or above the minimum odds.
3. If exactly one leg loses, Paddy Power refunds your stake as a free bet, up to a daily maximum.
4. The free bet is credited the next day and expires after a set number of days.

The refund is a free bet, not cash, so the free bet stake isn’t returned with any winnings.

Terms that have varied

These are the terms that differ between versions of the offer. Check each one before you bet:

Minimum legs	4+ in some versions, 5+ in others
Minimum odds per leg	Usually 1/5
Maximum refund	£10 or £20 a day in different versions
Bet Builders / Same Game Multis	Included in some versions, excluded in others
Eligible leagues	Usually UK and top European leagues, Champions League, Europa League and senior internationals

Things that usually don’t qualify

• Bets placed in-play
• Bets that are cashed out
• Multiple bets such as a Lucky 15 or Yankee (straight accas only)
• Accas where a postponed or abandoned match takes you below the minimum number of legs
