IPSWICH v CRYSTAL PALACE

19.30 in England

Ipswich suffered another defeat on Saturday, this time against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Tractor Boys conceded a penalty in the 1st-half, which was converted by the Forest Striker and with no further goals, Ipswich lost the game by a 1-0 scoreline.

The defeat leaves Kieran McKenna’s men in 19th place with the same 9 points as Wolves and Crystal Palace, all having completed 13 games.

As mentioned, Crystal Palace have 9 points also, following a draw against Newcastle on Saturday, by a 1-1 scoreline.

The Eagles left it late to snatch a point, having trailed through a Marc Guehi own goal conceded early in the 2nd-half.

Daniel Munoz scored the Palace equaliser in the 94th minute.

Crystal Palace sit in 17th place, above Wolves and today’s hosts, purely on goal difference.

Oliver Glasner somehow managed to pick up a Yellow Card in the 98th minute, for celebrating the late goal with his players.

Obviously the ‘Fun Police’ were on duty.

It was April 2013 when Ipswich last took on Crystal Palace at Portman Rd.

That was a Championship affair which saw Mick McCarthy’s Tractor Boys plough through Ian Holloway’s Eagles, to gain a home victory by a 3-0 scoreline.

A Frank Nouble double, either side of an Aaron Cresswell goal, gave Mr Holloway’s Palace team the win on their way to finishing in the Play-Off positions, amassing 72 points.

Ipswich finished the season in 14th place with 60 points.

Crystal Palace went on to beat Watford in the Play-Off Final at Wembley, to gain promotion to the Premier League, where the club have been ever since.

Betfred offer Ipswich at 15/8, the Draw at 12/5 and 6/4 for Crystal Palace to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/1 that Liam Delap Scores First and 21/10 that Jean-Philippe Mateta Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

LEICESTER v WEST HAM

20.15 in England

As mentioned in last week’s EveryTip column, Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Trar-La-La-La-Lar) has been appointed the New Leicester Manager after the sacking of Steve Cooper.

Ruud will have his work cut out trying to improve the Foxes, who suffered another defeat on Saturday, this time against Brentford away.

Facundo Buonanotte did score the first goal to give Leicester an early lead, however, the fragile Defence conceded 4 times to ultimately suffer the loss by a 4-1 away day score.

The defeat leaves Ruud’s New Boys in 16th place with 10 points from the opening 13 fixtures.

Two words,

‘Good luck Ruudy!’

Ok, 3 words.

West Ham played in a bizarre game against Arsenal at the London Stadium on Saturday Evening.

In last season’s encounter between the two, Arsenal scored 4 times in the 1st-half, then added another 2 after the break to gain the win by a 6-0 score.

In the early Saturday Night fixture, the Gunners went one better and scored 5 goals in the 1st-half, with the Hammers scoring 2 themselves, meaning 7 goals before the half-time Pie and Pint.

The surprise then was, after the 7 goals in the opening 45 minutes, neither team added to the score in the 2nd-half, which left West Ham with a defeat against Arsenal by a 5-2 scoreline.

As Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara often says,

‘Unbelievable Jeff!’

Arron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson with the Hammers goals.

After not scoring in the Premier League for 4 seasons, like London Buses, Aaron has scored 2 goals in the last 2 games.

West Ham sit in 14th place with 15 points from 13 games played.

13,14,15.

West Ham last visited the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester in May 2023, which was the final game of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Leicester gained the victory over West Ham by a 2-1 scoreline, with goals from Harvey Barnes and Wout Faes.

Pablo Fornals with the Hammers reply late on, which ultimately, was just a consolation.

Leicester needed a win and also hope that Everton lose in their final fixture, to avoid relegation.

Unfortunately for the Foxes, despite the victory, the Toffees also gained a victory, so Leicester finished in 18th place with 34 points and were relegated to the Championship.

West Ham finished in 14th place with 40 points, then 10 days later, went on to lift the Europa Conference League Trophy, gaining a victory over Fiorentina by a 2-1 score.

‘Super Jarrod Bowen!’

Betfred offer Leicester at 9/5, the Draw at 5/2 and 6/4 for West Ham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/1 that Jamie Vardy Scores First and 2/1 that Jarrod Bowen Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Wednesday 04th

EVERTON v WOLVES

19.30 in England

Everton were hammered against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

After conceding 2 goals before the half-time whistle, it was thought that Sean Dyche would get into his Toffees at the break, however, whatever Sean said in his brilliant gravel voice, didn’t make a difference, as United scored a 3rd within 21 seconds of the restart.

Everton then conceded a 4th and with no further goals, the away team suffered the defeat by a 4-0 scoreline, leaving the Toffees in 15th place with 11 points from the opening 13 games played so far.

The 13 games, now means that the 2024/25 Premier League campaign is one/thirds completed.

Where does the time go?

There were a few boos ringing out around Molineux on Saturday when Wolves suffered a devastating home defeat against Bournemouth by a 4-2 scoreline.

Following 4 unbeaten games (2 Wins and 2 Draws), it was felt that Wolves had turned a corner and were on the up, however, despite Jorgen Strand-Larsen scoring twice, Gary O’Neils Gold and Blacks conceded 4, which included 3 penalties.

All 3 penalties were converted by the same player (Justin Kluivert) which is a Premier League record.

The defeat against Gary’s old club leaves Wolves in 18th place with the same 9 points as Ipswich and Crystal Palace.

Wolves gained a narrow victory over Everton in last season’s encounter between the two at Goodison Park.

A Sasa Kalajdzic goal in the 87th minute gave Gary O’Neil’s team the points from a 1-0 away day scoreline.

Betfred offer Everton at 11/10, the Draw at 5/2 and 13/5 for Wolves to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 8/1 that Dwight McNeil Scores First and 21/10 that Matheus Cunha Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

MAN CITY v NOTTINGHAM FOREST

19.30 in England

When a team of any stature has lost 5 out of the last 6 games, with a draw from the other, plus 3 straight Premier League defeats, probably a visit to Anfield was not what was needed.

Unfortunately for Pep’s Low Flying Blues, that’s just what happened on Sunday where the above figures now read ‘lost 6 out of the last 7 games, with a draw from the other, plus 4 straight Premier League defeats!’

Man City were simply second best and the scoreline of 2-0 in favour of Liverpool could have been a lot more.

Pep Guardiola did get a bit of stick from the Anfield Rappers but was defiant and stuck up 6 fingers, (not 2!) to indicate the 6 Premier League Titles that the Spaniard has won.

It does now appear that a 7th will have to wait and more than likely, even though only a 3rd of the campaign has occurred, the Premier League Title is on its way to Merseyside.

The defeat against Liverpool dropped Man City down to 5th in the table now with the same 23 points as Brighton, a place and a point above tonight’s visitors.

Nottingham Forest gained a narrow victory over Ipswich on Saturday, with a converted Chris Wood penalty early in the 2nd-half, being the difference, giving Forest the points from a 1-0 score.

That leaves Nuno’s Tricky Trees in 6th place with 22 points from the 13 games completed.

Pep’s High Flying Blues gained the home victory over Steve Cooper’s Tricky Trees in last season’s encounter between Man City and Nottingham Forest at the Etihad.

Phil Foden and Erling Haaland scored the goals early in the 1st-half to give the home team the win from a 2-0 scoreline.

The anomaly in the game came just after the half-time interval when Rodri got involved in an altercation with Morgan Gibbs-White and received a straight Red Card, leaving City a man-lite for most of the 2nd-half.

This was a significant incident in not only the fixture against Forest but also in the recent history of Man City.

At the time, Rodri was just classed as an influential Midfielder, a good player but only one of many cogs in the City Wheel.

The Citizens then found out that Roadie Rodri was in fact the essential cog, with their team going on to suffer defeats in the 3 games Rodri missed due to the sending-off.

Two in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.

In the first game following Rod’s ban, Man City got back to winning ways.

Pep’s High Flying Blues only lost 3 Premier League games throughout the season and Rodri was absent from all 3, against Wolves, Arsenal (Newcastle in the Carabao Cup from the Red Card picked up against Forest) and then Aston Villa, with Rod missing the game against Villa in December after accruing 5 Yellow Cards.

It’s been shown this season how important the Spaniard is to the team, leaving Pep Guardiola wishing Santa will bring him a ‘Fit Again Rodri’ for Christmas.

Maybe Amazon have one?

Man City also gained the victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground later on in the campaign, by the same 2-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Man City at Odds On 1/3, the Draw at 9/2 and 8/1 for Nottingham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/2 that Erling Haaland Scores First and 16/5 that Chris Wood Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Home Win 3-1- Get 10/1 on Betfred & Claim your new account welcome offer!

NEWCASTLE v LIVERPOOL

19.30 in England

Newcastle gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score, against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

What was a strange anomaly was that Newcastle didn’t have a shot on target.

The goal came from a Palace Defender.

Unfortunately for the travelling Toon Army in attendance, the Magpies conceded a late equaliser to come away with just a point.

Alexander Isak did pick up an injury after 20 minutes, so could be missing tonight.

Newcastle sit in 11th place with the same 19 points as Aston Villa, Fulham and Manchester United, all having completed 13 games.

Liverpool were simply too strong for Man City on Sunday, with Arne’s Slot Machines gaining a comfortable home victory over Pep’s Low Flying Blues by a 2-0 score.

In truth, the scoreline could have been a lot more and didn’t tell the full story.

Coady Gakpo scored the opener after 12 minutes to give the home team a lead at the break.

Luis Diaz was then upended by Stefan Ortega in the area, which meant Liverpool were awarded a penalty, that Mo Salah coolly converted with 12 minutes remaining.

The comfortable win leaves Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League Table with 34 points from 13 games played.

That’s 9 points more than Arsenal and Chelsea and a massive 11 more than Brighton and Man City.

Although there are two-thirds of the season to go, in John Newsome’s opinion, Liverpool have one hand on the Title.

Anthony Gordon scored the opener to give Newcastle a lead at the break when Liverpool last visited St James Park.

What compounded Liverpool’s 1st-half misery was Virgil Van Dijk being shown a straight Red Card for hauling down Alexander Isak resulting in an early bath.

However, despite being a man down, Jurgen’s Reds were the stronger team after the interval with Darwin Nunez scoring twice to give Liverpool the away day victory by a 2-1 scoreline.

Betfred offer Newcastle at 16/5, the Draw at 3/1 and slight Odds On 4/5 for Liverpool to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 100/30 that Mo Salah Scores First and 11/8 that Liverpool Score in Both Halves.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

SOUTHAMPTON v CHELSEA

19.30 in England

Southampton gained a great point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Brighton at the Amex on Friday Night Football.

After conceding a Seagulls goal in the 1st-half, Flynn Downes scored an equaliser.

In truth, the Saints were the better team and Cameron Archer scored what would have been a winner in the 67th minute, however, the dreaded VAR got involved and cancelled out the goal because Cameron’s mate Adam Armstrong was deemed to be offside.

It was a tough decision for Russell Martin’s Saints but that’s usually what happens when a team are struggling.

Southampton remain at the foot of the table with 5 points from the opening 13 games played.

Chelsea smashed Aston Villa on Sunday gaining a brilliant victory by a 3-0 scoreline.

Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez with the 1st-half goals with Cole Palmer adding a superb 3rd late on in proceedings.

The win leaves Chelsea in 3rd place with the same 25 points as Arsenal but amazingly, sees the Blues drop below the Gunners, not because of goals scored or conceded but purely on Alphabetical Order, with Arsenal starting with an ‘A’ and Chelsea with a ‘C’.

Both have scored 26 goals and conceded 14 and as the fixture at Stamford Bridge between the two finished in a draw, the ‘Head to Head’ scenario, which is the next criterion after ‘Goal Difference’ is taken into account, doesn’t come into play, it’s ‘A’ before ‘C’ that determines who sits highest.

That said, if the Blues score a few tonight against the Saints, Chelsea could finish the evening in 2nd place.

It was an Austrian versus a German when these two last met at St Mary’s back in August 2022.

Wreck-it Ralph Hasenhuttl came up against Thomas Tuchel with Southampton getting the home victory over Chelsea by a 2-1 score.

Raheem Sterling scored the opener for the away team in the 23rd minute with Romeo Lavia and Adam Armstrong replying for the home side to give the Saints a lead at the break.

With no further goals, it was Southampton that gained all 3 points.

Romeo is now a Blues player.

The Austrian and the German didn’t see out the season, both being sacked by their respective clubs.

It’s strange to think that one of the ‘sacked Gaffers’ is now the England Manager.

Southampton finished bottom of the Premier League table and were relegated, with Chelsea finishing the season in 12th place.

Betfred offer Southampton at 15/2, the Draw at 9/2 and Odds On 4/11 for Chelsea to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 7/2 that Nicolas Jackson Scores First and 6/4 that Chelsea Win To Nil.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Away Win 0-3- Get 17/2 on Betfred & Claim your new account welcome offer!

ARSENAL v MANCHESTER UNITED

20.15 in England

Arsenal scored 5 goals before the half-time break against West Ham at the London Stadium, as well as conceding twice.

Seven goals before the interval and surprisingly, none in the 2nd-half.

Goals from Gabriel, Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, (2 West Ham goals) and a Bukayo Saka converted penalty, in the 5th minute of 1st-half injury time, gave Arsenal the amazing half-time scoreline of 5-2, which turned out to be the scoreline at full-time.

As mentioned in the Southampton v Chelsea preview above, Arsenal sit in 2nd place with the same 25 points as Chelsea but are above the Blues purely based on Arsenal starting with an ‘A’.

Manchester United are now unbeaten in all competitions since the defeat against West Ham at the end of October which resulted in Erik Ten Hag being sacked.

There have been 2 Wins and 2 Draws in the Premier League, 2 Wins in the Europa League and a Win in the Carabao Cup.

The latest win came at Old Trafford on Sunday with United gaining the expected victory over Everton by a convincing 4-0 score.

Two goals apiece from Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, 1 in each half, gave United all 3 points.

(In fairness, Marcus’s first goal got a big deflection from the Everton Defender Jarrad Branthwaite, however, he won’t want the OG and Mr Rashford will definitely claim that it’s his strike!)

It does appear that the New Gaffer Ruben Amorim is slowly getting his methods across to the United players, however, that said, this will be a real test as to where the Red Devils are at the moment against a set of Gunners who currently sit 2nd in the Premier League Table.

United have gained a win over Everton in the previous 4 Premier League fixtures as well as knocking the Toffees out of the FA Cup in last season’s competition.

A quick note regarding Manchester United.

The season up to now hasn’t been the best, however, if one looks at the Premier League Table, United are only 4 points off Man City and Brighton who sit in 5th and 4th respectively.

City’s goal difference is plus+3, Brighton’s is plus+5 and United’s is plus+4 with United having only conceded 13 goals so far.

Out of the Top Ten teams in the Premier League, only Liverpool with 8 goals conceded and Nottingham Forest with the same 13 goals, have conceded less or the same as United.

The other 7 teams in the Top Ten have conceded more.

So the future does look a bit more promising at Old Trafford.

Despite Marcus Rashford scoring the opener for United against Arsenal in last season’s fixture between the two at the Emirates, it was the home team that gained the victory by a 3-1 score.

Martin Odegaard scored to equalise Marcus’s goal, taking both teams in level at the break.

When 90 minutes were up on the clock, the score was still 1-1, however, Declan Rice scored in the 96th minute to give the Gunners the lead.

That wasn’t the end of the goals, with Gabriel Jesus adding a 3rd in the 101st minute to give Mikel’s Young Guns the win over Erik’s Ten Bobs.

Betfred offer Arsenal at Odds On 4/9, the Draw at 18/5 and 13/2 for Manchester United to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 4/1 that Bukayo Saka Scores First and 18/5 that Marcus Rashford Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

ASTON VILLA v BRENTFORD

20.15 in England

Aston Villa are now winless in the last 8 games, with 3 Losses and 2 Draws in the Premier League, 1 Loss and a Draw in the Champions League plus being knocked out of the Carabao Cup.

The latest loss came against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with Unai Emery’s Claret and Blues succumbing to an away day defeat by a 3-0 scoreline.

Probably the only positive to take now is that although Brentford are going great at home, the Bees are not that good away from the GTech, so tonight could be Villa’s time to get back on track.

Aston Villa sit in 12th place with the same 19 points as Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester United from the opening 13 games completed.

Regarding the Champions League, Villa currently have 10 points and sit in 9th place in that 36-team league.

Lille, Brest and Sporting, who sit 12th, 11th and 10th respectively, plus Monaco, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen, who sit 8th, 7th and 6th respectively, all have 10 points too with 3 games remaining.

Remember, the Top 8 teams are guaranteed entry into the Knockout stage next year, with 9 to 24 being drawn against each other to play a 2-legged affair to make up the last-16 of the Champions League.

So Villa are still in with a great chance of making the knockout stages, despite the current Premier League form.

Surprisingly Real Madrid sit in 24th place.

As mentioned, Brentford are on fire at the GTech Stadium, with the latest home game resulting in a convincing victory over Leicester by a 4-1 scoreline.

The Foxes actually scored first in the 21st minute, which kicked the Bees into life, with goals from Yoane Wissa and a Kevin Schade hat-trick, giving Thomas Frank’s men a 6th home win.

Brentford sit in 8th place with the same 20 points as Tottenham from the opening 13 games completed.

The Home Form Table shows Brentford at the Top with 19 points from 6 Home Wins and 1 Home Draw (higher than Liverpool who have suffered a Loss at Anfield!)

The problem comes from games away from the GTech where Thomas’s Bees sit in 19th place with 1 point from 6 games on the road.

Thus giving Aston Villa a psychological advantage in this fixture at Villa Park.

In last season’s encounter between these two at Villa Park, both teams shared the points from a draw by a 3-3 score.

The goals going in as follows,

38′ Ollie Watkins- (Aston Villa 1-0)

Half-Time Chicken Balti Pie.

46′ Morgan Rogers- (Aston Villa 2-0)
59′ Zanka- (Brentford 2-1)
61′ Bryan Mbeumo- (Brentford 2-2)
68′ Yoane Wissa- (Brentford 2-3)
80′ Ollie Watkins- (Aston Villa 3-3)

Full-Time Advocaat and Lemonade (SnowBall!)

Betfred offer Aston Villa at slight Odds On 4/5, the Draw at 3/1 and 16/5 for Brentford to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 100/30 that Ollie Watkins Scores First and 23/10 that Bryan Mbeumo Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Thursday 05th

FULHAM v BRIGHTON

19.30 in England

Fulham gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Tottenham at the Chas and Dave Memorial Stadium on Sunday.

After a goalless 1st-half, Tottenham scored the opener, then a bizarre 20 minutes or so happened for the Fulham Legend Tom Cairney.

Starting on the bench, as Tom usually does nowadays, Marco Silva introduced TC in the 62nd minute.

Tom then scored the equaliser 5 minutes later and with 7 remaining, roughly 20 minutes after coming on, was shown a straight Red Card when the dreaded VAR got involved.

After a challenge Tom made on Dejan Kulusevski, the on-field referee Darren Bond initially showed a Yellow Card but the Stockley Park brigade wanted to get busy and ordered Darren to look at the pitch side monitor, deeming the Yellow should be upgraded to a Red.

As most now know, once a referee is sent to the monitor, the initial on-field decision is usually changed.

In truth, it was a bad challenge by TC that probably did warrant a Red.

Fulham sit in 10th place with the same 19 points as Aston Villa, Newcastle and Manchester United, all having completed 13 games.

There was a lot of hype before the Friday Night Football against Southampton at the Amex, with most concentrating on the fact that a Brighton victory would see Fabian Hurzeler’s Men go up to 2nd in the table.

Despite Kaoru Mitoma scoring the opening goal to give the home team a lead at the break, Southampton did play well and scored an equaliser just before the hour mark.

The Saints could easily have won but had a goal bizarrely ruled out when it did appear that it should have stood.

The point gained from the draw by a 1-1 score, did initially put Brighton into 2nd place for 24 hours, until Arsenal and Chelsea gained victories, meaning the Seagulls now sit in 4th place with the same 23 points as Man City but above Pep’s Blues on goal difference, scoring the same 22 goals but only conceding 17 not the 19 that City have in the 13 games completed.

It was the home team that gained the victory when Fulham last hosted Brighton at Craven Cottage.

Goals from Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz and Adama Traore gave Marco Silva’s Cottagers the win over Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls by a 3-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Fulham at 11/8, the Draw at 13/5 and 15/8 for Brighton to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 6/1 that Joao Pedro Scores First and 5/4 that there are Under 2.5 Goals.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

BOURNEMOUTH v TOTTENHAM

20.15 in England

Bournemouth gained the victory over Wolves in the Gary O’Neil Derby on Saturday.

Justin Kluivert opened the scoring, converting a penalty after just 3 minutes on the clock.

After conceding a Wolves goal, Milos Kerkez scored to make it 2-1 in favour of the Cherries.

Justin then converted a 2nd penalty to make it 3-1 to the away team at half-time.

Wolves did score a 2nd but amazingly Bournemouth were awarded a 3rd spot-kick which Justin Kluivert converted to not only seal the away day victory by a 4-2 scoreline but make JK the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick of penalties.

There have been 4 previous occasions when the feat was on the cards.

Craig Burley playing for Derby against Bradford in April 2000, missed the 3rd one.

Darren Bent whilst at Sunderland against Tottenham in April 2010, when amazingly after scoring one goal from open play, then converting a penalty, sensationally missed not one but 2 further spot-kicks.

Steven Gerrard had the chance back in March 2013, when Liverpool faced Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Stevie G converted the first 2 penalties then hit the post with the 3rd that would have sealed his hat-trick of spot-kicks.

Sergio Aguero was the last player to convert the first 2 spot-kicks and be offered up a third whilst playing for Man City also against Tottenham in October 2014 but again missed the 3rd penalty awarded, however, did still complete a hat-trick, scoring an opening goal from open play.

Sergio also scored a 4th goal in that game against Spurs, so the missed penalty would have seen a total of 5 goals for Mr Aguero if converted.

Justin Kluivert scored all 3 awarded to surpass the exploits of the 4 players mentioned.

Bournemouth sit in 13th place with 18 points from the opening 13 games completed.

Tottenham gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Fulham at the Chas and Dave Memorial Stadium on Sunday.

After a goalless 1st-half, Brennan Johnson opened the scoring to give Ange’s Spurs a lead.

Unfortunately for the watching faithful, Fulham scored an equaliser and despite the Cottagers being reduced to 10 Men following a horrendous challenge on Dejan Kulusevski by Tom Cairney, the game eventually fizzled out with both Londoners gaining a point apiece.

Tottenham sit in 7th place with the same 20 points as Brentford from the opening 13 games completed.

Tottenham gained the away day victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality last season.

Goals from James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, one in each half, gave Ange’s Spurs the points from a 2-0 scoreline.

Dominic Solanke was in a Cherries Shirt that day but will now be wearing a LilyWhite Jersey this time around.

Betfred offer Bournemouth at 7/4, the Draw at 11/4 and 7/5 for Tottenham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/1 that Evanilson Scores First and 7/4 that Bournemouth Score in Both Halves.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

The picture at the Top of the Scottish Premier League stays the same following the weekend’s results, with Celtic gaining a victory over Ross County (who?) by a 5-0 scoreline.

The surprise in that score was all 5 goals came in the 1st-half, with Celtic failing to add more goals after the break.

The win keeps the Green and White Hoops at the summit with 37 points.

Aberdeen stay 2nd with 33 points following their draw with Hearts (who?) on Sunday.

Rangers are in 3rd place with 26 points following a victory over St Johnstone (who?) also on Sunday.

What may be significant is both Celtic and Rangers have only completed 13 games, whereas most of the other teams have played 14 times, with some even playing a 15th fixture.

Motherwell (who?) are the other team that have only completed 13 games.

All to play for North of the Border, as for Braveheart/Kylie, the lads gone missing, no doubt spinning around somewhere.

‘He’s Celtic, United but Brendan has decided that Park Head is the best place to be!’
