Game Week-32

These fixtures are the reverse of Game Week-15 (3) and Game Week-19 (7), which occurred in December 2024 and January 2025.

The strange anomaly from the reverse fixtures was that 4 of the 10 finished in a draw by a 2-2 score.

There’s also the Game Week-29 clash between Newcastle and Crystal Palace, which was rearranged due to Newcastle’s participation in the Carabao Cup Final back in March.

Saturday 12th

MAN CITY v CRYSTAL PALACE

12.30 in England

TNT Sport

The Manchester Derby last Sunday sent the watching Millions to sleep following a very dull draw by a 0-0 score.

It’s plain to see that Man City are way off the pace of previous seasons with the players underperforming in all departments.

None are worse than before, it’s just the extra years have taken their toll on the likes of Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan and the main man Kevin De Bruyne, who definitely won’t be at the Etihad next season after confirming his decision to leave in the Summer.

When watching the players, the slick quick pace is just that bit slower, the passes don’t have the same snap in them and the movement is a second or two down than of previous years.

That’s not meant as a criticism, it’s just what happens to everyone, whether one’s an elite Athlete or a Sunday League player, turning out after a night in Japanese Whispers.

‘Time waits for no man’ as the saying goes and time is certainly moving quicker than the ball when City are in possession.

It’s now up to Pep Guardiola to reinvent his Man City team and bring in some new young vibrant talent to get back to the Top Table.

It will happen, it’s just a matter of how long it will take, especially with Man City competing in the World Club Cup.

That said, the Transfer Window does open at the beginning of June for a short period, so the likes of Man City and Chelsea (the 2 English Clubs competing in the WCC) have the opportunity to bring in some fresh faces.

City are in danger of missing out on the Champions League, even if 5 English teams are allowed in next season.

(That will be confirmed in the next week or so if any of the English Team wins in this week’s Champions League, Europa League or Conference League.)

It’s a complicated affair but basically, 2 of the European Leagues will have an extra team in next season’s Champions League based on the Coefficient Points gained.

England are currently at the top and a win for any of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Tottenham or Chelsea over the next week will see the team finishing in 5th place qualify for the Champions League.

So in theory, Manchester United winning in the Europa League could earn Man City a place, if City can get up to 5th.

There is the chance of 7 English teams being in the Champions League, if Aston Villa win this season’s Cup and either Manchester United or Tottenham win the Europa League.

That’s on the proviso that Villa don’t qualify via their League position.

Whilst not wanting to denigrate Villa’s chances of winning the Champions League, it’s unlikely that will happen so Unai Emery, along with Eddie Howe, Enzo Maresca and Pep Guardiola will want Aston Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea or Man City to finish in the Top 5.

Chelsea are 4th with 53 points, Newcastle are 5th also with 53 points but have a game in hand over the rest and Man City sit in 6th place with 52 points.

Aston Villa are 7th with 51 points, so all to play for.

Crystal Palace gained a victory over Brighton on Saturday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the opener which was equalised by Danny Welbeck to take both teams in level at the break.

Daniel Munoz scored what turned out to be the winner just after the restart giving Palace the M23 Bragging Rights from a 2-1 score.

Eddie Nketiah was shown a 2nd Yellow Card and the subsequent Red late on leaving Palace with 10 Men.

That was then changed to 9 Men when Marc Guehi was also shown a 2nd Yellow and the Red in the 90th minute.

Despite the loss of 2 players, the Eagles held on for the win.

Crystal Palace are now unbeaten in 7 games, 4 Wins and a Draw in the Premier League and 2 FA Cup triumphs.

Palace sit in 11th place with 43 points from 30 games completed.

Note only 30 due to the fixture against Newcastle being postponed because of the Magpies’ Carabao Cup Final appearance, which will be played next Wednesday.

Both teams shared the points from a draw by a 2-2 score in the game at Selhurst Park last December.

Daniel Munoz scored the early opener for Crystal Palace after 4 minutes which was equalised by Erling Haaland on the half-hour mark to take both teams in level at the break.

Maxence Lacroix added a 2nd for the home team just after the restart, which again was equalised by City, this time Rico Lewis with the goal, leaving both with a point apiece from the Archbishop’s favourite scoreline.

Betfred offer Man City at Odds On 8/15, the Draw at 7/2 and 5/1 for Crystal Palace to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 7/2 that Omar Marmoush Scores First and 15/8 that Jean-Philippe Mateta Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

BRIGHTON v LEICESTER

15.00 in England

Brighton suffered a defeat against Crystal Palace in the M23 Derby on Saturday.

Danny Welbeck scored to equalise an early Palace goal taking both teams in level at the break.

Palace then scored a 2nd just after the restart and despite having 2 players sent off late on, Brighton couldn’t take advantage and ultimately suffered the loss from a 2-1 score.

Brighton went 7 games unbeaten in all competitions, however, the Seagulls have now lost the last 2 games added to being knocked out of the FA Cup from a penalty shootout.

Fabian Hurzeler’s Men sit in 9th place with 47 points from 31 games completed.

It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if one was to say,

‘Leicester suffered a defeat against Newcastle at the King Power on Monday Night Football.’

Newcastle scored after just 2 minutes and then added another 2 before the half-time interval.

With no goals in the 2nd-half, the Foxes suffered the loss from a 3-0 scoreline.

That’s now the 8th Premier League defeat in succession, plus the 15th from the last 16 with the other producing a win against Tottenham.

In those 15 defeats, Leicester have scored a grand total of 2 goals, conceding 39 in the process.

Added to that dreadful statistic, the poor Foxes Faithful have not seen their idols score a goal in the last 8 home fixtures with the last goal scored at the King Power by a Leicester player being in December.

The figures are astounding, especially considering that the team is Managed by one of the Premier League’s all-time leading goal scorers as well as having the Sheffield Superstar Jamie Vardy in the starting lineup.

(Ruud Van Nistelrooy is currently 36th on the list with 95 goals.)

Now for the controversial bit of this Leicester preview.

No one is more of a fan of Jamie Vardy than John Newsome and this EveryTip column.

However, the time has now come to drop JV from the team to,

A, give the lad a rest and

B, let someone else play up top.

There is obviously a problem as to why Leicester are not scoring goals, that problem is now psychological.

The players are subconsciously thinking that Jamie Vardy is the answer to the goal-scoring.

Thus, shying away from taking responsibility for their own ability to score goals.

Ruud needs to take Jamie out of the team and put someone else up front so that the players are free to impart their own talents on the pitch and not just consciously or subconsciously think,

‘It’s ok Jamie will score!’

JV has played the full 90 minutes in 6 of the last 7 games, playing 45 minutes in the other.

The whole dynamic of the team needs Jamie to be left out of the squad to reboot the performance.

A lot may not agree with that but ‘a lot’ haven’t seen anything different over the past few months.

The definition of ‘madness’ is to continue to do the same thing but expect different results.

Ruud needs to do something different if only to give himself a fresh perspective on things.

Leicester will be relegated, Southampton have gone already and it’s more than likely that Leicester, sitting in 19th place with 17 points, will be the next team to be confirmed as relegated.

The Foxes can only accrue a maximum of 38 points if Leicester win the remaining 7 games.

Wolves will get to 38 in 2 games time if they win both.

Leicester won’t win 7 games, it’s more than likely, that they won’t win again so this weekend could put them on the brink of relegation.

If Wolves beat Tottenham and Leicester lose then Wolves will have 35 points and a far superior goal difference.

The Rotund Lady is definitely warming up her vocal cords.

The fixture at the King Power saw a draw from a 2-2 score giving both teams a point apiece.

Tariq Lamptey scored the opener for Brighton to give the visitors a lead at the break.

Yankuba Minteh added a 2nd in the 79th minute which should have given Brighton the victory, however, Leicester made a stunning comeback, with goals from Jamie Vardy and Bobby De Cordova-Reid giving both a share of the points.

Betfred offer Brighton at Odds On 2/7, the Draw at 9/2 and 11/1 for Leicester to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 9/2 that Danny Welbeck Scores First and Evens 1/1 that Brighton Win To Nil.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v EVERTON

15.00 in England

Nottingham Forest suffered their first defeat in the last 5 Premier League games on Saturday, succumbing to a loss against Aston Villa at Villa Park by a 2-1 scoreline.

After conceding 2 goals and trailing at the break, Jota Silva, who was introduced at half-time by Nuno Espírito Santo, scored for Forest just before the hour mark.

Unfortunately for the Tricky Trees faithful in attendance, that was the end of the goals.

Forest remain in 4th place with 57 points from 31 games played.

Everton come into this fixture at the City Ground off the back of a draw against Arsenal last time out.

Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty early in the 2nd-half to equalise an earlier Arsenal goal and with no further significant action, both teams shared the points from a draw by a 1-1 score.

That is Everton’s 6th drawn game from the last 8, with a Win and a Loss from the other 2.

Nine points from a possible 24.

It’s also the 4th draw by a 1-1 score in those 8 games, which leaves Everton in 15th place with the same 35 points as West Ham both having 7 games remaining.

Nottingham Forest gained the away day victory over Everton at Goodison Park at the end of December.

Goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White, 1 in each half, gave Nuno Espírito Santo’s Tricky Trees the win over Sean Dyche’s Toffees by a 2-0 score.

Betfred offer Nottingham Forest at 23/20, the Draw at 9/4 and 11/4 for Everton to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 9/2 that Chris Wood Scores First and Evens 1/1 that Both Teams Score.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

SOUTHAMPTON v ASTON VILLA

15.00 in England

Southampton’s fate was sealed on Sunday following a defeat against Tottenham by a 3-1 scoreline, as predicted in the EveryTip column last week.

After Wolves had gained a victory on Saturday, Southampton knew that a loss would confirm the inevitability of relegation.

Despite Mateus Fernandes scoring late on, to half the deficit, Tottenham then scored a 3rd from the penalty spot in the 96th minute to gain the victory.

Southampton sit at the bottom of the table with 9 points from 31 games completed.

The Saints became the earliest team relegated in Premier League history.

Ivan ‘The Terrible’ Juric was then sacked.

The appointment of Ivan just didn’t work which then begs the question, why get rid of Russell Martin?

Well, that is an easy question to answer, Russell wasn’t getting results either so the Saints hierarchy had to make a change, the problem then was the appointment of someone, who no doubt is a good guy but no one had really heard about and didn’t really have a reputation of being the best person to come into the Premier League and try and get the worst team some wins.

There are and were plenty of decent Managers out there who could have done a better job.

Simon Rusk takes over as Caretaker Manager, along with Adam Lallana Assisting, with the sole objective of trying to gain another 3 points so as not to be the team with the worst points total in the history of the Premier League.

That is currently held by Derby County from the 2007/08 campaign, where Derby finished with 11 points.

Aston Villa gained a great home victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday with goals from Morgan Rogers and Donyell Malen giving Villa the win from a 2-1 score.

Forest scored a goal in the 2nd-half to make it a nervy final 30 minutes or so for the watching Villains in attendance.

Unai’s Claret and Blues take on Paris Saint-Germain in the French Capital on Wednesday, with the 2nd-leg back at Villa Park coming up next Tuesday the 15th.

Aston Villa sit in 7th place with 51 points from 31 games played.

A single Jhon Duran goal scored in the 1st-half gave Aston Villa the home win by a 1-0 scoreline when Southampton visited Villa Park for the Game Week-15 encounter.

Betfred offer Southampton at 5/1, the Draw at 100/30 and slight Odds On 4/7 for Aston Villa to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 8/1 that Paul Onuachu Scores First and 23/20 that Ollie Watkins Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

ARSENAL v BRENTFORD

17.30 in England

Sky Sports

Arsenal gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Leandro Trossard scored in the 1st-half to give the Gunners a lead at the break.

After Miles Lewis-Skelly was adjudged to have brought down Jack Harrison in the area, the dreaded VAR awarded Everton a penalty.

It took VAR almost 3 minutes to decide.

Clear and Obvious!

Everton converted the spot-kick and with no further goals, both teams shared the points.

Despite Liverpool suffering a defeat on Sunday and most folk getting excited about Arsenal’s Title chances, calm down, there isn’t any chance of Arsenal winning the Premier League this season.

Arsenal remain in 2nd place with 62 points from 31 games played.

That’s still 11 points adrift of Liverpool with 7 games remaining, meaning Arne’s Slot Machines would have to lose 4 of those games and Mikel’s Young Guns win all 7, for Arsenal to win the league.

It’s not going to happen.

Arsenal face Real Madrid at the Emirates in the 1st-leg of the Champions League last-16 on Tuesday, with the 2nd-leg in Madrid coming up after this game against Brentford, which could have a bearing on today’s match.

Brentford gained a point from a draw by a 0-0 score against Chelsea at the GTech on Sunday.

There’s not much more to be said from that drab draw between the West Londoners, leaving Brentford in 12th place with 42 points from 31 games played.

The reverse fixture at the GTech Stadium was a Game Week-19 affair that took place on New Year’s Day 2025.

Bryan Mbeumo scored the opener to give the Bees an early lead which was equalised by Gabriel Jesus to take both teams in level at the break.

Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli scored for Arsenal early in the 2nd-half to take the game away from Brentford and with no further goals, the Gunners claimed the victory from a 3-1 score.

Happy New Year.

Betfred offer Arsenal at Odds On 4/9, the Draw at 18/5 and 11/2 for Brentford to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 13/2 that Leandro Trossard Scores First and 11/10 that there are Under 2.5 Goals.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

Sunday 13th

CHELSEA v IPSWICH

14.00 in England

As just mentioned in the Arsenal v Brentford preview, Chelsea gained a point from a dull goalless draw against the Bees at the GTech on Sunday.

The Blues have only scored 2 in the last 4 Premier League games so something is amiss up front.

Cole Palmer is back but from just watching his body language, the lad doesn’t seem too enamoured with his teammates who rarely pass to him.

Chelsea remain in 4th place with the same 53 points as Newcastle but like most around, have completed 31 fixtures, whereas Newcastle have only played 30 games.

The Blues face Legia Warsaw in Poland on Thursday in the 1st-leg of the Europa Conference League last-16, with the return leg coming up after this weekend’s fixture against Ipswich.

Ipswich suffered a defeat against Wolves at Portman Rd on Saturday.

Despite Liam Delap scoring the opener, giving the home team a lead at the break, Wolves scored twice in the 2nd-half to inflict the loss on the Tractor Boys by a 2-1 scoreline.

That leaves Ipswich in 18th place with 20 points from 31 games completed.

Now 12 points adrift of the safe team, who just happen to be Wolves who have 32 points and a far superior goal difference, meaning it would need Ipswich to win at least 5 of the remaining 7 and Wolves lose all 7 for Ipswich to stay up.

That’s simply not going to happen, so as with Leicester, it’s just a matter of when not if, Ipswich are joining Southampton in returning to the Championship.

It’s also likely that the Tractor Boys will have to sell Liam Delap who has been a revelation in the Premier League already scoring 12 Top Flight goals.

It’s then a matter of who will take a chance on Young Liam, with several suitors, such as Arsenal, Manchester United and possibly Liverpool.

Surprisingly, it was Ipswich who gained the victory in the reverse Game Week-19 fixture at Portman Rd.

Liam Delap converted a penalty in the 12th minute to give Ipswich a lead at the interval.

Omari Hutchinson added a 2nd just after the restart and with no further goals, Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys gained a rare victory over Enzo Maresca’a Blues from a 2-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Chelsea at Odds On 1/3, the Draw at 9/2 and 8/1 for Ipswich to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 9/2 that Nicolas Jackson Scores First and 3/1 that Liam Delap Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

LIVERPOOL v WEST HAM

14.00 in England

Sky Sports

Liverpool suffered a shock defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Alexis Mac Allister scored a superb opening goal to calm the nerves of the visiting Scousers, however, the Reds Defence were a bit jittery, gifting Fulham 3 goals before the break.

Luis Diaz did score a 2nd midway through the 2nd-half but Fulham held on to leave Liverpool with the loss from a 3-2 away day scoreline.

That was just the 2nd defeat of the season for Arne’s Slot Machines, leaving Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League Table with 73 points from 31 games completed.

Despite the media panicking regarding whether Liverpool are going to hold on for the title, they are.

There’s no real problem, other than being bored, the players know it’s just a matter of when not if, with the boredom leading to complacency which Arne Slot will get hold of this week.

Liverpool play their remaining 7 games on a Sunday so will have a complete week between each game to make sure the team are ready for the challenge.

The loss against Fulham was a blip but just needs to be put to bed, with this home fixture against West Ham the next priority.

West Ham gained a point from a draw by a 2-2 score against Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday.

After trailing 1-0 at the break, 2nd-half goals from Niclas Fullrug and Jarrod Bowen gave the Bubbles in attendance hopes of a win but unfortunately for the Hammers, the Cherries scored an equaliser late on to give both a share of the points from the Archbishop’s favourite scoreline.

West Ham sit in 16th place with the same 35 points as Everton both having completed 31 games.

Liverpool hammered West Ham at the London Stadium back in late December.

First-half goals from Luis Diaz, Coady Gakpo and Mo Salah gave Arne’s Slot Machines a comfortable lead at the break.

Madrid-bound Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota added the 2nd-half goals to give Liverpool a convincing win from a 5-0 scoreline.

As just mentioned, Trent is on his way out of Liverpool and is heading to Spain in the Summer to join up with Real Madrid.

There has been a bit of conjecture about that move but who can honestly say that TAA doesn’t deserve the chance to play for another one of the Greatest Teams ever?

A certain Steve McManaman made the same move back in 1999 and won 2 Champions League Medals

Trent will want to try and achieve something similar.

The Spanish Sun is a bonus as well.

Betfred offer Liverpool at Odds On 1/3, the Draw at 9/2 and 17/2 for West Ham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/1 that Diogo Jota Scores First and 5/4 that Liverpool Win To Nil.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

WOLVES v TOTTENHAM

14.00 in England

Wolves gained a victory over Ipswich at Portman Rd on Saturday.

After conceding an Ipswich goal and trailing at the break, 2nd-half goals from Pablo Sarabia and Jorgen-Strand Larsen gave Wolves the win from a 2-1 score.

Wolves sit in 17th place with 32 points from 31 games completed.

That position now tells a few stories, firstly the win on Saturday, married with a defeat for Southampton, confirmed the Saints’ relegation from the Premier League.

It also sees Wolves just a few points away from confirming both Leicester and Ipswich’s relegation which will happen over the next couple of weeks.

Wolves are staying up, it’s just a matter of when that can be confirmed and the pressure is off.

Maybe the decision to get rid of Gary O’Neil and bring in Vitor Pereira has been a better one than those that the Leicester and Southampton hierarchy have made.

Tottenham gained a victory over Southampton on Sunday.

Goals from Brennan Johnson (2) and a late converted penalty from Mathys Tel gave Spurs the points from a 3-1 scoreline.

Southampton scored to half the deficit before Mathys’ spot-kick.

Tottenham sit in 14th place with 37 points from 31 fixtures played.

Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday in the 1st-leg of the Europa League last-16, with the 2nd-leg over in Germany coming up after this game against Wolves which could have a bearing on the outcome today.

Both teams shared the points from a draw by a 2-2 score in the Game Week-19 encounter back at the Chas and Dave Memorial Stadium at the end of December.

Hwang-Hee Chan scored the opener for Wolves which was quickly equalised by Rodrigo Bentancur.

Son Heung-Min then missed a penalty in the 43rd minute.

That wasn’t the end of the 1st-half action with Brennan Johnson scoring on the stroke of half-time to give Tottenham a lead at the break.

Jorgen Strand-Larsen scored an equaliser for Wolves in the 87th minute to give both teams a point apiece from the Archbishop’s favourite scoreline of 2-2.

Betfred offer Wolves at 13/10, the Draw at 13/5 and 2/1 for Tottenham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 13/2 that Jorgen-Strand Larsen Scores First and 15/8 that Wolves Score in Both Halves.

NEWCASTLE v MANCHESTER UNITED

16.30 in England

Sky Sports

Newcastle gained an easy home victory over Leicester on Monday Night Football.

The surprise in the win from a 3-0 scoreline, was that all 3 goals came in the opening 34 minutes.

Jacob Murphy scored the opening 2 goals before Harvey Barnes added the 3rd.

With no further goals, the Magpies got a convincing victory.

Newcastle sit in 5th place with the same 53 points as Chelsea but have played a game less so that position can be improved.

The Manchester Derby on Sunday was the proverbial ‘Bore Draw’ where both teams failed to find the back of the net, resulting in a stalemate by a 0-0 score.

Or as some might say, a goalless draw.

United remain in 13th place with 38 points from 31 games completed.

Seven fixtures remaining before the end of one of United’s worst Premier League campaigns in 32 years.

Enough said!

Newcastle gained the away night victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford in December.

Alexander Isak and Joelinton with the 1st-half goals to make the Toon Army’s half-time Pie and Pint a very enjoyable one.

With no further goals in the 2nd-half, Newcastle got the win from a 2-0 scoreline.

It probably won’t be too much different today.

Betfred offer Newcastle at slight Odds On 8/11, the Draw at 3/1 and 7/2 for Manchester United to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 4/1 that Alexander Isak Scores First and 11/5 that Newcastle Win To Nil.

BOURNEMOUTH v FULHAM

20.00 in England

Sky Sports

Bournemouth gained a point from a draw by a 2-2 score against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Evanilson scored both goals at the end of each half to first give the Cherries a lead and then to equalise after the Hammers had scored twice.

Bournemouth sit in 10th place with 45 points from the 31 games completed.

Fulham stunned most of the watching Millions on Sunday, gaining a brilliant victory over Liverpool at Craven Cottage by a 3-2 score.

After conceding an early Reds goal, Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz all scored before the half-time cup of tea giving the home team a lead at the break.

Liverpool did score a 2nd late on but Fulham held on for the momentous win, leaving the Cottagers in 8th place with 48 points from the 31 games played.

The clash at Craven Cottage back in December produced the 3rd drawn fixture of Game Week-19 with a 2-2 scoreline.

Raul Jimenez scored the opener for Fulham to give the home team a lead at the break.

Evanilson replied for Bournemouth just after the restart before Harry Wilson scored to restore Fulham’s lead.

Dango Ouattara scored in the 89th minute to earn a point for Bournemouth from the popular scoreline.

Betfred offer Bournemouth at 6/5, the Draw at 13/5 and 23/10 for Fulham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 11/2 that Evanilson Scores First and 16/5 that Alex Iwobi Scores Anytime.

Game Week-29

Wednesday 16th

NEWCASTLE v CRYSTAL PALACE

19.30 in England

Both will have faced the Manchester Two before this fixture on Wednesday.

Newcastle come into this rearranged game following the fixture against Manchester United on Sunday, with Crystal Palace taking on the other Manc side City.

In this reverse fixture back at Selhurst Park both teams shared the points from a draw by a 1-1 score.

After a goalless 1st-half, Marc Guehi scored, however, the unfortunate Palace Defender was credited with an Own Goal to give the Magpies a lead.

Daniel Munoz scored a very late equaliser for the Eagles to give both ‘Birds’ a point apiece.

Betfred offer Newcastle at slight Odds On 10/11, the Draw at 11/4 and 3/1 for Crystal Palace to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 4/1 that Alexander Isak Scores First and 15/8 that Jean-Philippe Mateta Scores Anytime.

Strange things are happening at the Top of the Scottish Premier League.

On Saturday, Rangers were horrendous against Hibernian (who?), suffering a defeat at Ibrox by a 2-0 scoreline.

The Teddy Bears Goalkeeper Jack Butland having a particularly bad game.

The loss should have given Celtic the impetus to gain a victory on Sunday to extend the lead at the Top and make confirmation of the Title a game sooner.

That unfortunately for the Green Half of Glasgow, did not happen, with Celtic also suffering a defeat, this time against St Johnstone (who?) by a 1-0 score.

Celtic remain in control at the Top of the Pub League still with 78 points from 32 games played.

Rangers stay in 2nd place with 65 points, a massive 13 adrift of Celtic.

This means that the Gers can only accrue a total of 83 points with victories in each of the remaining 6 games.

Celtic will reach 84 points if wins occur in the next 2 games.

Celtic play first next weekend, taking on Kilmarnock (who?) on Saturday, meaning if a victory is achieved, Rangers, who don’t play until Sunday, have to gain a win over Aberdeen (who?) or Celtic will finally be confirmed as the Scottish Premier League Champions for another season.

Whilst it is inevitable that Celtic will win the Title, it would be fun for the Green and White Army to celebrate the victory on Sunday Afternoon, having a few pints whilst watching Rangers lose.

The Loveable YankScot will definitely be Sleepless In Seattle.

‘He’s Celtic, United but Brendan has decided that Glasgow is the best place to be!’
