LEEDS UNITED v BURNLEY
20.00 in England
Sky Sports
On Wednesday evening in the 91st minute at the Vitality Stadium, it appeared that Leeds United had conceded a 3rd goal and were on the verge of losing the game against Bournemouth.
However, the dreaded VAR came to Leeds’ rescue and ruled Bournemouth’s goal out for a foul on the Whites ‘Keeper Karl Darlow.
Leeds went straight up the other end and with virtually the last kick of the game, Sean Longstaff scored the Leeds equaliser to give Daniel Farke’s Men a point from a draw by a 2-2 score.
Bournemouth scored the 1st goal on the hour mark, before a Cherry Defender turned the ball past his own Goalkeeper to make the score level.
Bournemouth scored a 2nd with 5 minutes remaining, then thought they had a 3rd before the Stockley Park brigade ruled the goal out.
Sean’s late goal, although not mathematically confirming, will surely mean that Leeds stay up, sitting in 15th place with 40 points.
It’s been a long time since a team with 40 points has been relegated, so it’s fair to say the ‘Marching On Together’ ditty will be sung by the West Yorkshire Puddings in the Premier League again next season.
Leeds would have to lose all 4 of their remaining games and Tottenham would have to win at least 2 of their 4 to see Leeds drop into the relegation places.
That’s also providing Nottingham Forest and West Ham win their remaining games.
In the history of the Premier League, there have been just 3 teams relegated with 40 points or more.
2002/03 West Ham 42.
1997/98 Bolton 40.
1996/97 Sunderland 40.
Each team played 38 times in those 3 seasons.
Three more seasons have seen the following be relegated with over 40 points, however, those were when there were 22 teams in the Premier League and each team played 44 games.
1994/95 Crystal Palace 45 (42).
1993/94 Sheffield United 42 (42).
1992/93 Crystal Palace 49 (42).
The 1994/95 season saw Crystal Palace finish in 19th place, 4th from bottom but relegated due to the Premier League restructuring the division, wanting just 20 teams for the start of the 1995/96 campaign.
The Whites’ remaining 4-fixtures are-
Burnley (H), Tottenham (A), Brighton (H) and West Ham (A)
Whilst it probably won’t come to the final fixture, the game against West Ham could be huge and as mentioned a couple of weeks ago, what would happen if both teams needed just a point to avoid relegation?
The following is taken from this EveryTip Column published April 14th, 2026.
‘Just a little side note to that final fixture and there are a few scenarios to occur before Game Week-38.
However, imagine Tottenham being in 18th place, 3 points adrift of both West Ham and Leeds United.
Would the two teams (West Ham and Leeds) agree to play out a bore draw, neither going for the win, just tapping the ball around for 90 minutes, with the game finishing in a stalemate by a 0-0 score, making sure both teams gain a point and stay up and subsequently sending Tottenham down?
As one says, that’s a long way off but watch this space if West Ham and Leeds have 3 points more than Tottenham going into the final game of the season!’
Leeds were unfortunately beaten in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley, suffering a defeat against Chelsea from a 1-0 scoreline.
Burnley suffered their 6th defeat from the last 8 on Wednesday, succumbing to a loss against Man City.
The other 2 games produced a draw.
Probably the surprise in the loss against Man City was the score, with City just managing the win from a 1-0 scoreline.
City would probably argue that if they needed to move up a few gears they would have.
The defeat leaves Burnley in 19th place with 20 points from 34 games played.
The loss also confirmed the relegation of Burnley which, although it was inevitable, does hurt everyone connected with the Clarets.
Burnley’s remaining 4-fixtures are-
Leeds (A), Aston Villa (H), Arsenal (A) and Wolves (H).
Burnley gained the home win over Leeds in the encounter at Turf Moor back in October.
Goals from Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna gave Scott Parker’s Clarets the victory over Daniel Farke’s Whites from a 2-0 scoreline.
One suggests revenge may be on the cards at Elland Rd tonight.
Betfred offer Leeds United at Odds On 2/5, the Draw at 7/2 and 13/2 for Burnley to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Brenden Aaronson Scores First and 5/4 that Leeds United Win To Nil.

BRENTFORD v WEST HAM
15.00 in England
Brentford suffered a defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday Night Football.
Mathias Jensen scored in the 87th minute to halve the deficit following United having scored twice, however, time ran out leaving the Bees with the loss from a 2-1 scoreline.
The previous 5 Brentford games have finished 0-0, 2-2, 0-0, 2-2 and 0-0, so when Mathias scored late on the 2-2 result was on the cards.
Sadly not to be, leaving Brentford sitting in 9th place with the same 48 points as their West London neighbours, Fulham and Chelsea.
Brentford’s remaining fixtures-
West Ham (H), Man City (A), Crystal Palace (H and Liverpool (A).
West Ham’s topsy-turvy season continues with the Hammers being in and out of the relegation zone over a half-hour period during the game against Everton on Saturday.
After a goalless 1st-half, Tomas Soucek scored to put West Ham ahead, whilst at the same time, Tottenham were drawing in their game against Wolves meaning Nuno’s men were outside of the drop zone.
Everton then scored in the 88th minute to level things up.
Around the same time at Molineux, Tottenham scored to take the lead meaning West Ham and Tottenham had swapped places, with both temporarily having 34 points but with Tottenham having a better goal difference.
Callum Wilson then scored the eventual winner for the Hammers in the 92nd minute to give West Ham the victory over Everton from a 2-1 scoreline.
Tottenham also won so the position of both teams remained the same as before kickoff, with West Ham now in 17th place with 36 points from 34 games played and Tottenham in 18th, with 34 points from 34 games.
It does now appear to be one of West Ham or Tottenham that will be relegated along with Wolves and Burnley who have already gone.
West Ham’s remaining 4-fixtures-
Brentford (A), Arsenal (H), Newcastle (A) and Leeds (H).
Brentford gained the away-day London Bragging Rights when the Bees took on the Hammers back in mid-October.
Igor Thiago scored the opener on the stroke of half-time to give Brentford a lead at the break.
Mathias Jensen then added a 2nd in the 94th minute to let the Bees burst the Bubbles from a 2-0 scoreline.
The two teams also met at the London Stadium in the FA Cup, where West Ham progressed following a penalty shootout.
Betfred offer Brentford at 21/20, the Draw at 11/4 and 23/10 for West Ham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 10/3 that Igor Thiago Scores First and 2/1 that Jarrod Bowen Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

NEWCASTLE v BRIGHTON
15.00 in England
Newcastle suffered a 4th straight Premier League defeat on Saturday, this time against Arsenal at the Emirates by a 1-0 scoreline.
Granted, a loss was probably predicted against the Gunners at their home, however, the stats don’t lie and show that it’s the 5th defeat in a row, 4 in the Premier League plus the Champions League game against Barcelona.
Eddie Howe’s position as Manager seems to be safe at the moment but with 4 games remaining, are the hierarchy just going through the motions and waiting until the season draws to a close and then decide if Eddie will continue.
Newcastle sit in 14th place with 42 points from 34 games played.
Newcastle’s final 4-fixtures-
Brighton (H), Nottingham Forest (A), West Ham (H) and Fulham (A).
Brighton smashed Chelsea at the Amex last Tuesday.
Ferdi Kadioglu scored the opener after 3 minutes to settle the nerves of the watching Seagulls in attendance.
Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck scored 2 and 3 to give Brighton the victory over Chelsea by a 3-0 scoreline.
Whilst it was a great win for the home team, it has to be mentioned that Chelsea were rubbish which ultimately led to the sacking of Liam Rosenior.
That’s no concern of Brighton who can only beat what’s put in front of them, leaving the Seagulls in 6th place with 50 points from 34 games played.
Sixth will see Brighton qualify for the Europa League.
The Seagulls’ remaining 4 fixtures are-
Newcastle (A), Wolves (H), Leeds United (A) and Manchester United (H).
Brighton gained the home victory over Newcastle in the Game Week-8 affair back in October.
Danny Welbeck scored twice, one in each half to give the Seagulls the Flying Animal Bragging Rights over the Magpies from a 2-1 scoreline.
Nick Woltemade scored to equalise Danny’s 1st goal before DW got the winner.
Betfred offer Newcastle at 6/4, the Draw at 13/5 and 13/8 for Brighton to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Danny Welbeck Scores First and 9/4 that Brighton Score in Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

WOLVES v SUNDERLAND
15.00 in England
Wolves suffered a defeat against Tottenham at Molineux on Saturday.
The loss from a 1-0 scoreline, was the 3rd in a row for Rob Edwards’ Gold and Blacks, leaving Wolves at the bottom of the table with 17 points from 34 games played.
Wolves’ remaining 4-games-
Sunderland (H), Brighton (A), Fulham (H) and Burnley (A).
Sunderland suffered a devastating home defeat against Nottingham Forest on Friday Night Football by an amazing 5-0 scoreline.
After having a brilliant home record, Forest destroyed the Black Cats to leave Sunderland in 12th place with 46 points from 34 games completed.
Sunderland, along with several teams, are still in contention for a possible European adventure next season, however, losing by 5-goals to nil, at the Stadium of Light, hasn’t helped the European cause.
Sunderland’s 4-game run in-
Wolves (A), Manchester United (H), Everton (A) and Chelsea (H).
Sunderland got the home win over Wolves in the fixture at the Stadium of Light back in mid-October.
Nordi Mukiele scored the 1st goal in the 16th minute to give the Black Cats a lead at the break.
The unfortunate Wolves Defender Ladislav Krejci was credited with Sunderland’s 2nd which went in when the clock had ticked over 90 minutes to give Sunderland the victory from a 2-0 scoreline.
Betfred offer Wolves at 2/1, the Draw at 23/10 and 11/8 for Sunderland to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Brian Brobbey Scores First and 21/10 that there are Under 1.5 Goals.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

ARSENAL v FULHAM
17.30 in England
Sky Sports
Arsenal’s Premier League game against Newcastle over the weekend has seemed to have gone under the radar with the FA Cup Semi-Finals taking place at the same time.
The Gunners gained a victory over the Magpies from a 1-0 scoreline with Eberechi Eze scoring the solitary goal in the 9th minute.
The victory lifted Arsenal back to the summit of the Premier League with 73 points from 34 games played.
Man City have 70 points from 33 games so the title race is still up for grabs.
Arsenal’s final 4-Premier League fixtures-
Fulham (H), West Ham (A), Burnley (H) and Crystal Palace (A).
Arsenal play the 1st-leg of the Champions League Semi-Final against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, which is over in Spain so the travelling could have a bearing on tonight’s game.
Fulham gained a brilliant victory over Aston Villa at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Ryan Sessegnon scored the only goal of the game just before the half-time break to give the Cottagers the points from a 1-0 score.
Fulham sit in 10th place with the same 48 points as Brentford and Chelsea, so basically, the West London Boys are competing with each other, for a possible European adventure next season.
Fulham’s final 4-games-
Arsenal (A), Bournemouth (H), Wolves (A) and Newcastle (H).
A single Leandro Trossard goal scored just before the hour mark gave Arsenal the victory over Fulham in the game at Craven Cottage.
Betfred offer Arsenal at Odds On 4/9, the Draw at 10/3 and 13/2 for Fulham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 5/1 that Bukayo Saka Scores First and Evens 1/1 that Both Teams Score.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

BOURNEMOUTH v CRYSTAL PALACE
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
Bournemouth gained a point from a draw by a 2-2 score against Leeds United at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday.
After a goalless 1st-half, Eli Junior Kroupi scored on the hour mark to give the Cherries a lead.
The unfortunate Bournemouth Defender James Hill was credited with an Own Goal to gift Leeds an equaliser 8 minutes later.
Rayan scored a 2nd for the Cherries in the 85th minute and then it did appear that Bournemouth had a 3rd and all 3 points when Evanilson scored in the 91st minute, however the dreaded VAR ruled the goal out.
That wasn’t the end of the action with Leeds going up the other end and scoring an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game to give both teams a point apiece.
Bournemouth sit in 7th place with 49 points from 34 games played.
Bournemouth’s remaining 4-fixtures-
Crystal Palace (H), Fulham (A), Man City (H) and Nottingham Forest (A).
Crystal Palace suffered a defeat against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Despite the Eagles having 3 wins over the Reds this season (Community Shield, Premier League and Carabao Cup) Liverpool were too strong at their home, inflicting the loss on Palace from a 3-1 score.
Daniel Munoz scored the Eagles’ goal when the score was 2-0 in favour of Liverpool.
Liverpool scored their 3rd in the 96th minute which did spoil this EveryTip prediction of 2-1 but that is the joy of football and confirms just how hard it is to predict the correct outcome.
Crystal Palace sit in 13th place with 43 points from 33 games played.
Palace’s remaining 5-games-
(It’s 5 due to the rearranged fixture against Man City that didn’t take place in March due to the Carabao Cup Final.)
Bournemouth (A), Everton (H), Brentford (A), Man City (A) and Arsenal (H).
Both teams shared the points from a draw by a remarkable 3-3 score in the game at Selhurst Park back in October.
Eli Junior Kroupi scored twice in the 1st-half to give the Cherries a lead at the break.
Jean-Philippe Mateta then scored twice to level the score before Ryan Christie scored in the 89th minute to put Bournemouth back in front.
With time virtually up, the referee gave Crystal Palace a penalty, which Jean-Philippe converted in the 97th minute to not only give Bournemouth a point but also confirm his hat-trick.
Betfred offer Bournemouth at slight Odds On 4/6, the Draw at 3/1 and 18/5 for Crystal Palace to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Eli Junior Kroupi Scores First and 9/5 that Jean-Philippe Mateta Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

MANCHESTER UNITED v LIVERPOOL
15.30 in England
Sky Sports
Super Michael Carrick has overseen 9 wins from his 13 games as Interim Manager, following the victory over Brentford on Monday Night Football.
There are 2 draws and 2 losses from the other 4 games.
Casemiro and Benjamin Sesko scored in the 1st-half to give United a lead at the break.
Brentford did score late on to halve the deficit but that just became a consolation goal as United held out for the win from a 2-1 scoreline.
As predicted in this EveryTip column last week.
Manchester United have virtually guaranteed a Top Five finish, currently sitting in 3rd place with 61 points, which is 11 points more than Brighton who sit in 6th.
This game against their arch-rivals could confirm a place in the Champions League next season, which will make the Red Devil faithful very happy.
United’s 4-game run in-
LIVERPOOL (H), Sunderland (A), Nottingham Forest (H) and Brighton (A).
Liverpool gained a victory over Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.
Alexander Isak and Andy Robertson scored to give Liverpool a lead at the break.
Palace halved the deficit in the 71st minute and with time virtually up it did look like this EveryTip’s prediction of 2-1 to Liverpool was going to happen, however, Florian Wirtz scored a 3rd goal in the 96th minute to spoil that particular scenario.
A lot of Betting Companies do offer ‘Cash Out’ so it’s possible that the ‘Cash Out’ for the 2-1 scoreline was taken by a few punters.
Liverpool sit in 4th place with the same 58 points as Aston Villa who drop to 5th on goal difference.
There’s an 8-point gap to Brighton in 6th place so it does appear that the current Top Five will be in the Champions League next season.
Aston Villa have the added extra of gaining entry by winning the Europa League.
Liverpool’s final 4-fixtures-
MANCHESTER UNITED (A), Chelsea (H), Aston Villa (A) and Brentford (H).
Manchester United stunned Liverpool at Anfield back in October.
Bryan Mbeumo scored the opener to give United a lead at the break.
Coady Gakpo scored an equaliser in the 78th minute, however, the parity didn’t last long, with Harry Maguire scoring what turned out to be the winner in the 84th minute to give United the away win over Liverpool from a 2-1 scoreline.
Betfred offer Manchester United at 5/4, the Draw at 14/5 and 7/4 for Liverpool to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 13/2 that Bruno Fernandes Scores First and 15/8 that Mo Salah Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

ASTON VILLA v TOTTENHAM
19.00 in England
TNT Sports
Aston Villa dropped a place in the table following their defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The loss from a 1-0 score, leaves Villa with the same 58 points as Liverpool going into the final 4 games of the season, however, the two have swapped places due to goal difference, with Villa now sat 5th.
Villa’s final 4-Premier League fixtures-
Tottenham (H), Burnley (A), Liverpool (H) and Man City (A)
Tottenham finally won a Premier League game on Saturday, inflicting a defeat on Wolves at Molineux by a 1-0 scoreline.
Joao Palhinha scored the solitary winning goal in the 82nd minute.
That was the first Premier League win this year, however, it wasn’t enough to get Tottenham out of the relegation zone.
At the same time, West Ham also got a victory, leaving Tottenham in 18th place with 34 points from 34 games.
West Ham have 36 points.
It has been confirmed that Xavi Simons will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Added to that, the lad won’t be able to play for the Netherlands at the World Cup which is devastating for the Dutchman.
Get well soon Xavi!
Tottenham’s remaining 4-games-
Aston Villa (A), Leeds United (H), Chelsea (A) and Everton (H).
Aston Villa gained the away-day victory over Tottenham at the New Stadium when the two met for the Game Week-8 encounter.
Rodrigo Bentancur scored first for Tottenham before Morgan Rogers equalised to level the score at the interval.
Emiliano Buendia scored the eventual winner in the 77th minute to give Villa the points from a 2-1 scoreline.
The two also met in the FA Cup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Villa progressed from victory by the same 2-1 scoreline.
Coincidentally, the Villa goal scorers that day were Emiliano Buendia and Morgan Rogers, with Wilson Odobert getting the Tottenham goal.
It could easily be 2-1 today.
Betfred offer Aston Villa at 6/5, the Draw at 13/5 and 2/1 for Tottenham to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Ollie Watkins Scores First and 15/8 that Aston Villa Score In Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

Monday 04th
CHELSEA v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
15.00 in England
Sky Sports
In the words of Marshall Mathers, ‘Could the real Slim Chelsea please stand up!’
The Harry Potter competition winner, aka Liam Rosenior was finally relieved of his duties following a dreadful display against Brighton last week, which resulted in the Seagulls inflicting an embarrassing defeat on the Blues by a 3-0 scoreline.
That was the 5th straight Premier League defeat, which leaves Chelsea in 8th place with the same 48 points as their West London counterparts Fulham and Brentford.
It was then the FA Cup Semi-Final against Leeds at Wembley on Sunday, with a single Enzo Fernandez goal seeing Chelsea progress to the Final and face off against Man City for the coveted trophy.
The display against Leeds was in stark contrast to the game against Brighton which then presented the accusations that the players were not having Liam Rosenior.
Remember also, that Liam gave Enzo Fernandez, his Captain, a 2-game ban because Enzo suggested he’d like to live in Madrid.
The real Slim Chelsea did turn up against Leeds and will be wanting to be on show for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea’s final 4-games-
Nottingham Forest (H), Liverpool (A), Tottenham (H) and Sunderland (A).
Nottingham Forest smashed Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Friday.
Goals from Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White, Igor Jesus and Elliot Anderson added to the opener credited to a Sunderland player gave Vitor Pereira’s Tricky Trees the win from a 5-0 scoreline.
The victory leaves Forest in 16th place with 39 points from 34 games played.
That’s now 5 points above the drop zone.
However, if one looks at the remaining 4 games, there are some tough fixtures to try and stay away from the relegation places.
Forest’s remaining 4-PL fixtures-
Chelsea (A), Newcastle (H), Manchester United (A) and Bournemouth (H).
It was Chelsea (under Enzo Maresca) that gained the easy win over Forest (under Ange Postecoglou) when the two met at the City Ground back in October.
After a goalless 1st-half, goals from Josh Acheampong, Pedro Neto and Reece James gave Chelsea the victory from a 3-0 scoreline.
Amazingly, Malo Gusto was shown a 2nd-Yellow and the subsequent Red in the 87th minute after his team were 3-0 in front.
Betfred offer Chelsea at Odds On 7/10, the Draw at 3/1 and 18/5 for Nottingham Forest to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Cole Palmer Scores First and 9/4 that Chris Wood Scores Anytime.

EVERTON v MAN CITY
20.00 in England
Sky Sports
Everton suffered a narrow defeat against West Ham in the David Moyes Derby at the London Stadium.
After conceding a goal, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored an equaliser in the 88th minute which did look like it would earn a point.
However, not to be, as West Ham then scored the winner in the 92nd minute to inflict the loss on the Toffees from a 2-1 scoreline.
Everton sit in 11th place with 47 points from 34 games completed.
Everton’s remaining 4-games-
Man City (H), Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (H) and Tottenham (A).
Man City gained a victory over Burnley last time out in the Premier League, however, the surprise was probably the scoreline of just 1-0 with Erling Haaland getting the solitary winning goal.
City would have hoped to score more to increase the goal difference over Arsenal as the Title Race may come down to that factor.
It will firstly be who has the most points, then who has the better goal difference and if that’s the same, it comes down to who scored more.
The win did lift City above Arsenal to the summit, however, Arsenal’s subsequent win against Newcastle means Man City remain in 2nd place, with 70 points from 33 games played.
Arsenal have 73 points from 34 games, so it’s still in Man City’s hands as to whether they want to win the Premier League or not.
1- Arsenal, scored 64 and conceded 26- plus+38 (73 pts)
2- Man City, scored 66 and conceded 29- plus+37 (70 pts)
Arsenal could have 6 points more than City come kickoff tonight.
Man City’s remaining 5-fixtures were-
Everton (A), Crystal Palace (H),
Brentford (H), Bournemouth (A) and Aston Villa (H).
It’s been confirmed that both Bernardo Silva and John Stones will leave the Etihad at the end of the season.
Both will be big losses to Man City, not just on the pitch but as characters off the pitch.
John Newsome is a massive fan of John Stones having first watched the lad for various Under/age Barnsley teams then going on to play for the first team.
John has had a lot of injuries this last couple of years but it is hoped Thomas Tuchel takes the Barnsley Stone to the USA so that John can showcase his skills on the Big Stage, especially considering Jonny Boy will be in the shop window looking for a new club.
All the best John and Bernardo.
After a goalless 1st-half at the Etihad back in October, Erling Haaland scored twice to give Man City the victory over Everton by a 2-0 scoreline.
Betfred offer Everton at 11/2, the Draw at 18/5 and Odds On 4/9 for Man City to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 15/8 that Erling Haaland Scores First and 13/8 that there are Over 3.5 Goals.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)
