Game Week-36
This set of fixtures are the reverse of Game Week-7 which took place at the beginning of October 2025.
Saturday 9th
LIVERPOOL v CHELSEA
12.30 in England
TNT Sports
Liverpool played in a strange game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
After conceding 2 goals and being outplayed in the 1st-half, United inexplicably decided to gift the ball to the Liverpool players, who took advantage of the poor play with Dominik Szoboszlai and Coady Gakpo scoring to make the game level.
Unfortunately, for the Anfield Rappers in attendance at their fierce rivals’ home, United scored a 3rd to inflict the defeat on Liverpool from a 3-2 scoreline.
The loss leaves Arne’s Slots in 4th place with the same 58 points as Aston Villa both having played 35 times.
Liverpool’s final 3 fixtures-
Chelsea (H), Aston Villa (A) and Brentford (H).
Chelsea are struggling in the Premier League at the moment.
After securing their place in the FA Cup Final by beating Leeds (Leeds must be gutted) it was back to losing ways on Bank Holiday Monday, as the Blues suffered their sixth defeat in a row.
After conceding 2 against Nottingham Forest, Chelsea were given a chance to get back into the game and eventually score a goal when awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
Cole Palmer had his tame kick saved by the Forest ‘Keeper.
The penalty incident came from a clash of heads between Zach Abbott and Jesse Derry, where the on-field referee Anthony Taylor deemed Zach was the aggressor.
Zach and Jesse were taken off, with young Jesse (the son of the ex-QPR and Crystal Palace player Shaun Derry), making his Premier League debut, being taken straight to the hospital.
All the best Jesse.
Robert Sanchez was also involved in a clash with Morgan Gibbs-White which again resulted in both being taken off due to concussion.
Forest scored a 3rd early in the 2nd-half and despite Chelsea scoring a late consolation, their first Premier League goal in 6 games, the Blues suffered the defeat against Nottingham Forest by a 3-1 scoreline.
These are the last 6 Premier League results for the Blues-
Chelsea v Nottingham Forest 1-3
Brighton v Chelsea 3-0
Chelsea v Manchester United 0-1
Chelsea v Man City 0-3
Everton v Chelsea 3-0
Chelsea v Newcastle 0-1
As one can see, 4 of those 6 fixtures were in front of the Chelsea faithful at Stamford Bridge with 3 being by the same 3-0 scoreline.
Chelsea sit in 9th place with the same 48 points as Fulham and Everton all having completed 35 games.
Chelsea’s final 3-games-
Liverpool (A), Tottenham (H) and Sunderland (A).
Chelsea gained the home victory when Liverpool headed to Stamford Bridge back in October.
Moises Caceido scored first to give the Blues a lead at the break.
Coady Gakpo then scored an equaliser for the Reds just after the hour mark.
With time up on the clock, Estevao scored the winner for Chelsea in the 95th minute to give the home team all 3 points.
Betfred offer Liverpool at slight Odds On 9/10, the Draw at 3/1 and 13/5 for Chelsea to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 8/1 that Dominik Szoboszlai Scores First and 3/1 that Liverpool Win To Nil.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

BRIGHTON v WOLVES
15.00 in England
After 5 unbeaten games that included 4 wins and a draw, Brighton succumbed to a defeat against Newcastle at St James Park on Saturday.
Brighton conceded 2 goals to trail at the break, before Jack Hinshelwood pulled a goal back on the hour mark.
Unfortunately, for the travelling Seagull faithful who were on an epic journey, flying the long distance of an around trip of 790 miles, taking over 11 hours, Jack’s goal proved to be just a consolation, with Newcastle scoring a 3rd very late on to inflict the defeat by a 3-1 scoreline.
The loss leaves Brighton in 8th place with 50 points from 35 games played.
That position isn’t currently a European spot for next season, however, 8th could be upgraded to a Europa Conference League place, depending on how things turn out for certain teams.
The Seagulls’ remaining 3 fixtures are-
Wolves (H), Leeds United (A) and Manchester United (H).
Wolves snatched a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Sunderland at Molineux on Saturday.
Sunderland scored the opener in the 1st-half, then had a player sent off after 24 minutes, leaving Wolves with an extra man for the remainder of the game.
That man advantage eventually paid off when Santiago Bueno scored an equaliser in the 54th minute.
With no further goals, both teams gained a point apiece.
The Sunderland player who was sent off, was shown the straight Red Card for pulling Tolu Arokodare’s hair.
Poor Tolu, had his hair pulled a couple of weeks ago by Everton’s Michael Keane who was also sent off.
A quick note regarding Rob Edwards who left Middlesbrough to take over at Wolves.
Middlesbrough looked certain to gain automatic promotion from the Championship and possibly swap places with Wolves, however, ‘Boro failed to finish in the Top Two so will now face Southampton in the Playoff Semi-Final.
Millwall and Hull compete in the other.
Wolves remain at the bottom of the table with 18 points from 35 games played.
Wolves’ remaining 3-games-
Brighton (A), Fulham (H) and Burnley (A).
Both teams shared the points from a draw by a 1-1 score when these two met at Molineux.
The current Nottingham Forest Boss, Vitor Pereira was still in charge of Wolves and saw Red in the 20th minute being sent to the stands for not agreeing with some decision.
The Brighton ‘Keeper Bart Verbruggen was credited with the Wolves goal after the ball he tipped onto the bar came back and hit him on the head then went into the goal, to give Wolves a lead at the break.
All Bart could say was,
‘Doh!’
Brighton left it late to get the equaliser with Jan Paul Van Hecke scoring the goal in the 86th minute to give both teams a point apiece.
Betfred offer Brighton at Odds On 2/7, the Draw at 9/2 and 9/1 for Wolves to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 11/4 that Danny Welbeck Scores First and 11/10 that Brighton Win To Nil.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

FULHAM v BOURNEMOUTH
15.00 in England
It’s probably unfair to say this about a Premier League team but Fulham were like a Cockapoo Puppy in the late Saturday Afternoon game against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Basically, rolling over and having their tummies tickled by the Gunners, who scored 3 goals before the half-time bowl of water.
Fulham didn’t concede after the break but the damage was already done, leaving the Cottagers with a defeat from a 3-0 scoreline.
The loss leaves Marco Silva’s White and Blacks in 11th place with the same 48 points as Chelsea and Everton from 35 fixtures played.
Fulham’s final 3-games-
Bournemouth (H), Wolves (A) and Newcastle (H).
Bournemouth gained an easy victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday, with Palace having one eye on this week’s Europa Conference League 2nd-leg.
An Own Goal from Jefferson Lerma added to goals from Eli Junior Kroupi (penalty) and Rayan gave the Cherries the win over the Eagles from a 3-0 scoreline.
Jefferson used to play for Bournemouth so maybe he was mistaken about which shirt he was wearing.
Bournemouth sit in 6th place with 52 points from 35 games.
Sixth place will see a European Adventure next season, however, not for Andoni Iraola who is leaving at the end of this campaign.
Bournemouth’s remaining 3-fixtures-
Fulham (A), Man City (H) and Nottingham Forest (A).
Bournemouth gained the victory over Fulham at the Vitality Stadium back in October.
There were no goals in the first 70 minutes, then it was goals galore with Antoine Semenyo, Justin Kluivert and Antoine again scoring for the Cherries to give the home team the win from a 3-1 score.
Ryan Sessegnon scored for Fulham first to give the Cottagers a lead with 20 minutes remaining.
Betfred offer Fulham at 13/8, the Draw at 11/4 and 7/5 for Bournemouth to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Eli Junior Kroupi Scores First and 11/8 that there are Over 3.5 Goals.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

SUNDERLAND v MANCHESTER UNITED
15.00 in England
Nordi Mukiele scored after 17 minutes in the game against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
The early goal should have allowed the Black Cats to push on for more against the bottom team, however, a moment of madness from Dan Ballard resulted in the lad being sent off in the 24th minute, leaving Sunderland with a man down for the remainder of the game.
What did the Big Centre Back get sent off for?
A two-footed challenge on the Wolves’ Striker?
No!
An elbow in the face of the Wolves’ Striker?
No!
Dan was sent off for pulling the Wolves’ Striker’s hair!
The Wolves’ Striker was Tolu Arokodare.
This appears to becoming a regular issue with players, following Lisandro Martinez being sent off the other week for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s hair.
Hair-Pull Gate, as it’s becoming known, has also seen Everton’s Michael Keane receive a Red Card for pulling a Wolves’ Strikers hair, the Striker once again being Tolu Arokodare!
Both Michael and Dan have written to Tolu with the request-
‘Get thi hair cut!’
Added to those 3 Hair-Pull Gates, the on-field referee who showed the Red Cards against Dan and Lisandro was Paul Tierney, who with a twist of irony, has a bald head.
Sunderland’s 3-game run in-
Manchester United (H), Everton (A) and Chelsea (H).
Manchester United hammered Liverpool in the 1st-half at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko scored to give United a comfortable lead at the break.
However, United then imploded and gave the ball away twice, which resulted in Liverpool scoring on both occasions to make the score level.
Luckily, for the Red Devils in attendance, Kobbie Mainoo managed to score a 3rd for United which ultimately gave the home team the victory from a 3-2 scoreline.
The win leaves United in 3rd place with 64 points from 35 games played.
It also confirms United’s Top Five finish which guarantees a Champions League spot for next season.
The last Champions League campaign was in the 2023/24 season where United finished bottom of the 4 team Group Stage.
A quick mention regarding Sir Alex Ferguson who was taken ill just before kickoff against Liverpool.
The Main Man is currently in hospital as a precautionary measure.
All the best Sir Alex.
United’s 3-game run in-
Sunderland (A), Nottingham Forest (H) and Brighton (A).
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United gained a rare victory under the Portuguese Manager’s reign when Sunderland visited Old Trafford for the Game Week-7 affair.
Goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko gave United the win from a 2-0 scoreline.
Both goals were scored in the opening half hour.
Betfred offer Sunderland at 11/4, the Draw at 11/4 and slight Odds On 10/11 for Manchester United to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 9/2 that Benjamin Sesko Scores First and 7/4 that Manchester United Score in Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

MAN CITY v BRENTFORD
17.30 in England
Sky Sports
Man City’s title race faulted on Monday, with City only managing a draw against Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Jeremy Doku scored twice plus an Erling Haaland goal, earning City a point from a draw by a 3-3 score.
City took the lead through Jeremy Doku but then conceded 3 Toffee goals to trail going into the final 10 minutes.
Erling scored to halve the deficit before Jeremy scored the equaliser in the final minute to give both teams a point apiece.
Man City stay in 2nd place with 71 points from 34 games played.
That’s 5 adrift of Arsenal who surely now have 1 hand on the Premier League Trophy.
Man City’s remaining 4-fixtures are-
Brentford (H), Crystal Palace (H), Bournemouth (A) and Aston Villa (H).
Brentford hammered West Ham on Saturday with the Bees bursting the Bubbles from a 3-0 scoreline.
After a West Ham Defender had gifted Brentford the first goal, the Bees were then awarded a penalty early in the 2nd-half which Igor Thiago converted.
Mikkel Damsgaard then added a 3rd to give Brentford the easy victory.
That was Igor’s 22nd goal of the season, which is 2nd only to Erling Haaland who has 25.
Brentford sit in 7th place with 51 points from 35 games played.
Brentford’s remaining fixtures-
Man City (A), Crystal Palace (H and Liverpool (A).
A single Erling Haaland goal, scored in the 9th minute was enough to give Pep’s High Flying Blues the win over the Bees from a 1-0 scoreline, back in October at the Etihad.
Betfred offer Man City at Odds On 1/3, the Draw at 9/2 and 7/1 for Brentford to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 7/4 that Erling Haaland Scores First and 21/20 that Igor Thiago Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

BURNLEY v ASTON VILLA
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
Having said last week it was refreshing that even though Burnley were relegated, they haven’t got rid of Scott Parker, news came through this week that Burnley and Scott have parted ways due to Burnley being relegated.
Craig Bellamy, who was Assistant Manager to Vincent Kompany at Turf Moor is currently the favourite for the job which should be confirmed once the season is over.
Despite Scott and the club parting company, it was still another defeat, this time away at Elland Rd against Leeds on Friday Night Football.
Loum Tchaouna did score for the Clarets in the 68th minute, however, the home team had already scored 3 goals, to ultimately leave Burnley with the defeat from a 3-1 scoreline.
That’s the 7th loss from the last 9 games, with the other 2 being draws.
Mike Jackson has taken over as Caretaker Manager for the remainder of the season.
Notice it’s ‘Mike’ and not ‘Michael’ as at the moment, Burnley couldn’t ‘ ‘Beat It’ if ‘It’ is a Premier League club.
The Clarets remain in 19th place with 20 points from 35 games completed.
Burnley’s remaining 3-fixtures are-
Aston Villa (H), Arsenal (A) and Wolves (H).
It appears Aston Villa have put the Premier League on hold due to the Semi-Final of the Europa League.
In the 1st-leg of that particular competition, Villa suffered a narrow defeat against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground with a single converted penalty being the difference.
It was then a Premier League game against Tottenham where Unai Emery made several changes to the team to save the legs of some of the main ones for Thursday’s return leg at Villa Park.
Only 4 of the starting eleven that played against Forest started against Tottenham.
The changes proved significant with Tottenham inflicting a defeat on Villa by a 2-1 score.
Emiliano Buendia scored a late consolation goal in the 95th minute.
Aston Villa sit in 5th place with the same 58 points as Liverpool, both 6 points ahead of Bournemouth who sit 6th with 52, so at the moment, a Top Five finish isn’t guaranteed.
Which means Unai is focusing on Villa winning the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Whilst Unai Emery and Aston Villa have their own agenda, the question should be asked-
‘Is this fair on West Ham?’
It now looks like it’s between Tottenham and West Ham as to who is the 3rd team relegated.
West Ham were beaten by a team (Brentford) playing their best starting eleven, whereas Tottenham were up against a team playing their reserves and gained a vital win.
Although West Ham also play in Claret and Blue, it’s unlikely the Hammers will be happy with their Colour Counterparts.
Villa’s final 3-Premier League fixtures-
Burnley (A), Liverpool (H) and Man City (A)
Aston Villa gained the Claret and Blues Bragging Rights when Burnley visited Villa Park last October.
Donyell Malan scored twice to give Villa the victory over Burnley from a 2-1 scoreline.
Lesley Ugochukwu got the Clarets goal in the 78th minute to halve the deficit when Villa had already scored twice.
Betfred offer Burnley at 4/1, the Draw at 3/1 and slight Odds On 8/13 for Aston Villa to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Ollie Watkins Scores First and 13/10 that Aston Villa Score in Both Halves.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

CRYSTAL PALACE v EVERTON
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
As with the Burnley v Aston Villa preview above, the Europa Conference League Semi-Final that had the 1st and 2nd-legs either side of Crystal Palace’s game against Bournemouth, dictated the players that Oliver Glasner chose for the Premier League fixture on Sunday.
That then dictated how the Eagles performed on the pitch and unfortunately for the Ultras who had made the trip to the South Coast, Palace rolled over and had their tummies tickled like another Cockapoo Puppy, with the Cherries inflicting the defeat on the Eagles by a 3-0 scoreline.
Crystal Palace gained a victory in their 1st-leg tie against Shakhtar Donetsk and take a 3-1 advantage back to Selhurst Park on Thursday.
If successful, the Eagles will face either Rayo Vallecano or Strasbourg in the final of the Europa Conference League, with Rayo currently having a slender lead of 1-0 from the 1st-leg.
As for Cockapoos, these are Puppies that are a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle and cost around £1000.
When John Newsome and others around the 50-60 year old mark were kids, a cross breed Puppy was known as a ‘Causey Edger!’ and cost nothing, they were usually given away.
How things change!
Palace’s remaining 4-games-
(It’s 4 due to the rearranged fixture against Man City that didn’t take place in March due to the Carabao Cup Final.)
Everton (H), Man City (A), Brentford (A) and Arsenal (H).
Everton put a massive dent in Man City’s title hopes by getting a draw on Monday Night Football.
After conceding a City goal to trail at the break, 2 goals from Thierno Barry either side of a Jake O’Brien strike put Everton ahead.
Unfortunately, for the Toffee faithful in attendance at Hill Dickinson Stadium, City managed to score twice to snatch a draw from a 3-3 scoreline.
David Moyes signed Mikel Arteta back in the day and has done Arsenal a massive favour by preventing Man City from winning.
Everton sit in 10th place with the same 48 points as Chelsea and Fulham, all having completed 35 games.
Everton’s remaining 3-games-
Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (H) and Tottenham (A).
Everton gained the home win over Crystal Palace at Hill Dickinson Stadium back in October.
Daniel Munoz scored first for Palace in the 37th minute to give the away team a lead at the break.
Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty in the 76th minute to level the score, then it was left to Jack Grealish (remember him?) to get the Toffee winner in the 93rd minute to give David Moyes’ Boys the victory over Oliver’s Army from a 2-1 score.
Betfred offer Crystal Palace at 13/8, the Draw at 23/10 and 8/5 for Everton to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 13/2 that Beto Scores First and Evens 1/1 that there are Over 2.5 Goals.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v NEWCASTLE
14.00 in England
Sky Sports
Like Unai Emery and Oliver Glasner, Vitor Pereira had a decision to make on his starting lineup for the game against Chelsea on Monday.
Having gained a narrow victory over Aston Villa in the 1st-leg of the Europa League Semi-Final, where a Chris Wood converted penalty was the difference at the City Ground, Vitor, like the other two Managers, made several changes to the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge.
The only difference between Forest and Aston Villa/Crystal Palace was that Forest’s reserves were better and subsequently gained a very easy victory over a poor Chelsea team.
Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice, either side of an Igor Jesus converted penalty to give Forest the win over the Blues by a 3-1 scoreline.
Chelsea scored a very late consolation goal in the 93rd minute.
There were a couple of worrying moments where two of the Forest players, Zach Abbott and Morgan Gibbs-White were taken off with concussion, following innocent clashes with Chelsea players.
Forest will be hoping that Morgan Gibbs-White is fit enough to play in the 2nd-leg at Villa Park on Thursday.
The Tricky Trees sit in 16th place with 42 points from 35 games played.
Forest’s remaining 3-PL fixtures-
Newcastle (H), Manchester United (A) and Bournemouth (H).
Following 5 straight defeats (4 in the Premier League and 1 Champions League clash) Newcastle got back to winning ways on Saturday, by gaining a victory over Brighton from a 3-1 scoreline.
Goals from William Osula, Dan Burn and Harvey Barnes gave Eddie Howe’s Magpies a much-needed win.
Brighton scored to halve the deficit when Newcastle were 2-0 up, which would have made the Toon Army a bit jittery until Harvey scored the 3rd in the 95th minute.
Newcastle sit in 13th place with 45 points from 35 games played.
As mentioned, Forest have 42 points, with both having the same goal difference of minus-2.
So the winners today will finish Game Week-36 in the highest position.
Newcastle’s final 3 fixtures-
Nottingham Forest (A), West Ham (H) and Fulham (A).
It’s amazing to think that the superb English Midfielder Elliot Anderson was sold to Nottingham Forest from Newcastle back in 2024, when the current set of Magpies could do with the lad at the moment.
It was Eddie Howe’s Black and Whites who got the home victory over Ange Postecoglou’s Tricky Trees in the Game Week-7 affair at St James Park.
Goals from Bruno Guimaraes and a Nick Woltemade converted penalty, both in the 2nd-half gave Newcastle the points from a 2-0 scoreline.
Betfred offer Nottingham Forest at 8/5, the Draw at 13/5 and 6/4 for Newcastle to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Chris Wood Scores First and 9/4 that Harvey Barnes Scores Anytime.
(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.
If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

WEST HAM v ARSENAL
16.30 in England
Sky Sports
It’s fair to say that West Ham have had a bad weekend, not only suffering a defeat against Brentford (from a 3-0 scoreline) on Saturday but then seeing Tottenham get a victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, to swap places and leave the Hammers in 18th place with 36 points from 35 games played.
Tottenham have 37 points.
After Game Week-35, it now appears that it’s a straight fight between Tottenham and West Ham as to who finishes in 18th and are relegated along with Burnley and Wolves.
West Ham’s remaining 3 fixtures-
Arsenal (H), Newcastle (A) and Leeds (H).
Tottenham’s remaining 3-games-
Leeds United (H), Chelsea (A) and Everton (H).
As one can see from the remaining 3 games for both teams, it does look like Tottenham have the easier run-in.
Granted, it’s not an exact science but West Ham have today’s game against Arsenal, where a defeat looks the likeliest outcome and Tottenham have a fixture against Leeds United, where a win is more likely to happen than West Ham beating Arsenal.
Going forward, the Championship has now finished with Coventry and Ipswich being promoted to replace Wolves and Burnley.
Middlesbrough looked certain to gain automatic promotion from the Championship and possibly swap places with Wolves, however, ‘Boro failed to finish in the Top Two so will now face Southampton in the Playoff Semi-Final.
Millwall and Hull compete in the other.
Can one imagine the West Ham fans’ thoughts that their idols are not only relegated but then have their fierce rivals Millwall promoted.
That statement is exactly the same for Tottenham, with no love lost between all of West Ham, Tottenham and Millwall.
Arsenal gained a victory over Fulham on Saturday, with the Cottagers rolling over to let the Gunners score 3 times and secure the points from a 3-0 scoreline.
Two 1st-half goals from Viktor Gyokeres either side of a Bukayo Saka strike, gave the Gunners 3 points and temporarily saw the gap between themselves and Man City become 6 points, until City’s game against Everton on Monday Night Football.
With City only managing a draw, it left Arsenal at the summit with 76 points from 35 games played, now 5 ahead of Man City but with City having 4 games remaining and one hand on the Premier League Trophy.
At the moment-
1-Arsenal 76 pts, scored 67 and conceded 26 (plus+41)
2-Man City 71 pts, scored 69 and conceded 32 (plus+37)
If this weekend plays out as expected, Man City play first against Brentford on Saturday.
A win would give City 74 points.
Then Arsenal play this game against West Ham on Sunday, which, if as expected, a win occurs, would keep Arsenal at the top with 79 points.
Man City then play their official game in hand against Crystal Palace on the 13th of May, which, if an expected win occurs, would mean that Man City have 77 points, 2 adrift of Arsenal both with 2 games remaining.
Here’s where it gets interesting.
The Game Week-37 set of fixtures start on Sunday the 17th of May, the day after the FA Cup Final, which as one knows, Man City compete against Chelsea.
Arsenal play their GW-37 fixture against Burnley at the Emirates on Monday the 18th of May, which considering Burnley are rubbish and already relegated and Arsenal are at home, it’s more than likely that Arsenal will win that particular game, giving the Gunners 82 points, clear at the summit, with 1 game remaining.
Man City play their penultimate fixture on the 19th, however, that particular game is against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
A victory over Bournemouth isn’t as guaranteed as an Arsenal win over Burnley, however, for arguments sake, let’s just say Man City win against the Cherries, they would have 80 points going into the final set of fixtures.
Which would mean that Arsenal are 2 points ahead of Man City going into the final Super Sunday, where Arsenal face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and Man City face Aston Villa at the Etihad.
Put simply, Man City can only achieve 83 points, Arsenal can get 85.
If both teams win their remaining fixtures then it’s Arsenal’s title, the first one in 22-years.
All of those few paragraphs are what John Newsome thinks might happen, however, that’s not guaranteed but it surely will be an interesting next couple of weeks and is why the Premier League is the Greatest League in the World.
Arsenal face Atletico Madrid at the Emirates on Tuesday in the 2nd-leg of the Champions League Semi-Final, with the game evenly poised at 1-1.
Regarding the Champions League and Arsenal’s possible Final opponents Bayern Munich.
Bayern took on Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena in their Bundesliga clash on Saturday.
Heidenheim are currently at the bottom of the Bundesliga and will be relegated.
Heidenheim scored twice early on with Bayern replying to leave the away team in front at the break.
Bayern then scored an equaliser in the 57th minute after bringing on Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich at half-time.
Surely that would see Bayern Munich push on for the home win?
That wasn’t the case, Heidenheim then scored a 3rd to lead 3-2 at the 90-minute mark.
Unfortunately, the Bundesliga then blurred its lines by carrying on for a further 10 minutes until Michael Olise scored an equaliser.
The referee Frank Willenborg, somehow carried on until Bayern got the equaliser.
Did Frank have a nice envelope in his dressing room from the Bayern Hierarchy?
It’s a shame that ‘corruption’ happens in the modern game, regardless of the country, however, it does appear that it is creeping into the Modern Game.
A Declan Rice goal and a converted Bukayo Saka penalty, one in each half, gave Arsenal the home win from a 2-0 scoreline, when these two met at the Emirates back in October.
Betfred offer West Ham at 4/1, the Draw at 16/5 and slight Odds On 3/5 for Arsenal to come away with all 3-points.
Betfred offer 4/1 that Viktor Gyokeres Scores First and 7/4 that Arsenal Win To Nil.

TOTTENHAM v LEEDS UNITED

Tottenham gained a much-needed victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.
Goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison, both coming in the first 25 minutes, were enough to see Spurs get the win from a 2-1 scoreline.
Villa scored a late consolation goal in the 96th minute.
Tottenham swapped places with West Ham to move out of the relegation zone, now sitting 17th with 37 points, West Ham have 36.
It’s been mentioned earlier that Aston Villa had the Europa League Semi-Final on their minds, ultimately dictating Unai’s team selection, which did help Tottenham.
Tottenham’s remaining 3-games-
Leeds United (H), Chelsea (A) and Everton (H).
Although one team is ‘up North’ in Yorkshire and the other is ‘down South’ in London, the journey for both sets of fans is a relatively easy one.
Tottenham fans will just jump on the Rattler at King’s Cross and head straight to Leeds Train Station, with the West Yorkshire Puddings doing the same in reverse order.
Or, if driving, straight on the M1 to and from Leeds, with Elland Rd being next to the Motorway.
Leeds United have virtually guaranteed their place in next season’s Premier League, following a victory over Burnley at Elland Rd on Friday Night Football.
Goals from Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Daniel Farke’s Whites the win over Mike Jackson’s Clarets from a 3-1 scoreline.
Burnley did score a consolation goal midway through the 2nd-half.
Leeds were probably safe anyway as mentioned last week, not many teams have been relegated with 40 points.
Leeds now have 43 from 35 games and it would take a strange set of results over the next 3 Game Weeks for Leeds to be relegated.
Basically, Leeds would have to lose the remaining 3 and Tottenham win all 3 for Leeds to go down.
Tottenham can realistically achieve 46 points with 3/3 wins.
That would include a win today over Leeds.
There’s also the matter of the final game against West Ham which, if both teams need just a point to stay up, will the game be manufactured to finish in a draw?
That’s not to say ‘Match Fixing’ it’s just a case of unconscious bias to play out a draw.
Added to everything just mentioned, Crystal Palace have been drawn into the relegation battle, currently having the same 43 points as Leeds but do have 4 games remaining.
The Whites’ remaining 3-fixtures are-
Tottenham (A), Brighton (H) and West Ham (A)
Thomas Frank’s Spurs team got the away day victory over Daniel Farke’s Whites from a 2-1 scoreline when Tottenham headed up the M1 back in October.
Mathys Tel scored first to give Tottenham a lead before Noah Okafor equalised for Leeds to take both teams in level at the break.
Mohammed Kudos then scored, what turned out to be the winner in the 57th minute to give Tottenham 3 of the 37 points they currently have.
