When performing our Paddy Power review, we looked at 5 main factors which we believe are integral to any good sportsbook or online bookmaker; New Account Offer, Site Design, Live Streaming, Withdrawal Speed, Customer Service.
Our biggest issue with Paddy Power was their customer service. We felt that some staff appeared poorly trained, although they were friendly and eager to help. Their social media output can seem a little crass to some. Their attitude seems to be ‘any publicity is good publicity’.
These are minor gripes and Paddy Power are definitely a bookmaker that we would recommend.
The £/€10 (max.) risk-free bet offer is fair but not massive. Best Odds Guaranteed are offered on all UK and Irish races. They regularly payout early on high-profile markets (for example when Jeremy Corbyn was way ahead in the ‘Next Labour Leader’ market and there was still one month to go before the result could be confirmed). They have also done this with many other markets and sometimes the result that they paid out on did not actually occur.
They lead the field with offers on the big festivals, such as Cheltenham, Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood.

Paddy Power Live Streaming
Paddy Power Live Streaming channel only includes streaming of Uk and Irish horse racing. To watch a live steam you must be logged into Paddy Power and have placed a bet on the race you want to watch. You need to have placed a bet with the equivalent total stake of £1 or €1 per race (depending on your account’s currency). For a single, the minimum bet to stream the race is £0.50/€0.50 each way, or £1/€1 win. For multiple bets, minimum stakes range from £/€1 to £/€8 dependent on the type of bet you choose. For example you require a minimum stake of £/€6 if you want to watch all races in your Lucky 63 bet.
Paddy Power Site Design
We feel that the design of Paddy Power’s website is excellent. They are clearly targeting recreational punters and have made navigation quick and easy.
Their race-cards are well laid out and their online betting slips work well. Even a pro bettor should appreciate how easy it is to get a bet on fast and with the minimum of fuss. Top marks from us!
Paddy Power Withdrawal Speed
No problems to report! It took less than 2 minutes for us to request a withdrawal and the funds hit our account within 48 hours.
The only thing that is likely to cause a delay is if you try to withdraw funds to a different account than the one you used to make your deposit. Paddy Power will not let you do this. Their customer support agent told us that this was because of gaming commission regulations, put in place to avoid money laundering. This policy is now standard, across the industry.
Paddy Power is also on our recommended list of betting sites that accepts paypal.
Paddy Power Customer Service
Customer service was the only major concern for us, with Paddy Power. Their agents seem friendly enough, but they do not always give you the impression that they fully understand betting.
Most of their training seems to be based on deposits and withdrawals. When asked technical questions about exotic bets, or payout reductions, they seemed out of their depth. Good customer support staff are the bedrock of any betting company, so we hope that they are taking steps to improve training.
Paddy Power have been a breath of fresh air and it is no wonder that they are now amongst the most-popular of all online bookmakers. Their website is a joy to use, they have a good sign-up offer and withdrawals are painless. The live-streams are good and the betting requirement of 1 per race seems fair. They really push the boat out, when the big festivals come around. Their festival offers are for both new and existing customers and often include betting odds that are unbelievably generous!
With better customer support, we would be recommending Paddy Power as the best online bookmaker out there. We would still definitely recommend them and we know that many of you are already using them as your main betting site.
