Where the extra place helps most

JACKSBAR in the 15:40 at Chepstow is forecast at 11/1, against our tissue price of 5.7. Tristan Durrell rides for Dan Skelton in an 18-runner handicap hurdle, and Betfred pays 5 places. There are 2 runners to spare above the 16 needed for 5 places; below that, Betfred still pays 4.

SNOOKER MCCREW (15:00 Kempton) has the biggest gap on our model of the extra place races: forecast at 4/1, with a tissue price of 2.17. Alfie Redman rides for Max Comley. It is also a leg in today’s Daily Lucky 15, with STORM ON JURA (14:15 Musselburgh), TOLSTOY (14:45 Musselburgh) and JKR COBBLER (15:50 Musselburgh). Betfred’s extra places apply to each way multiples too, and if only one leg wins, Betfred’s Multiply Your Odds pays three times its odds in cash.

FOINIX (18:30 Kempton, forecast 10/1, tissue 5.89) is the evening pick, with Finley Marsh riding for Jim and Suzi Best.

Today’s money back race is the 12:05 at Musselburgh.
