Where the extra place helps most

STAR OF GUITING in the 13:50 at Aintree has the biggest gap on our model today: forecast at 12/1, against our tissue price of 3.17. Craig Nichol rides for Ewan Whillans. It is a different view from our Nap of the Day, ALL IN YOU (13/8), in the same race, so if you like both, an each way bet on the bigger price is one way to cover it. STAR OF GUITING is also a leg in today’s Daily Lucky 15.

LORD ABAMA (19:00 Newcastle, forecast 15/2, tissue 4.78) is the evening pick, with Jack Callan riding for Michael Dods in a 14-runner handicap.

A word on runners: the 12:25 at Hexham, the 13:25 at Fontwell and the 13:50 at Aintree have exactly 7 runners, the minimum for 3 places, and the 15:35 at Aintree has exactly 12, the minimum for 4. One non-runner would take any of them back to standard place terms. Betfred also lists the 13:15 at Aintree for 3 places, but only 6 runners are declared, below the 7 needed, so standard place terms will apply there.

Betfred has already named tomorrow’s extra place races, including 5 places on the 15:25 and 15:55 at Doncaster.

We also have a Lucky 15 offer that triples the odds if only one of our four picks wins.

How it works

1. Back your horse each way in one of the races above.
2. If it finishes in one of the paid places, including the extra one, the place part pays out at 1/5 odds.

Key terms

• New and existing verified customers. Each way singles and each way multiples only. Antepost bets do not count.
• At Betfred, 3 places needs 7 or more runners and 4 places 12 or more; below that, standard place terms apply.
• Place terms can change if there are non-runners. Dead heat rules apply.
