Our 15/2 Irish pick gets 5 places at Naas, and our Nap gets an extra place too

Betfred and QuinnBet are paying extra places on 4 races today. Both pay 5 places instead of 4 on the 14:04 at Naas, a 20-runner Listed handicap hurdle, and our Nap of the Day runs in one of Betfred’s extra place races at Ffos Las.

Where the extra place helps most

BALLYBAWN BELTER is our Irish tip at 15/2 in the 14:04 at Naas. With 20 runners and 5 places paid by both bookmakers, it is the best each way race of the day, with plenty of room for non-runners above the 16 Betfred needs.

SPARKLING DUKE (13:52 Ffos Las) has the biggest gap on our model of today’s extra place races: forecast at 13/2, against our tissue price of 2.35. Callum Pritchard rides for Kayley Woollacott, and QuinnBet pays 4 places. It is also a leg in today’s Daily Lucky 15.

GALWAY REEL, our Nap of the Day at 6/4, runs in the 15:37 at Ffos Las, where Betfred pays 3 places. Sean Bowen rides for Olly Murphy, and it is also a leg in our Daily Treble.

A word on runners: the 14:15 at Sandown and the 15:37 at Ffos Las have exactly 7 runners, the minimum for 3 places at Betfred, so one non-runner would take either back to 2 places. Check before you bet.

Betfred has already named tomorrow’s extra place races, including 5 places on the 15:45 at Punchestown.

Today’s money back race is the 13:40 at Sandown.

How it works

1. Back your horse each way in one of the races above, with a bookmaker paying the extra place.
2. If it finishes in one of the paid places, including the extra one, the place part pays out at 1/5 odds.
