Cheltenham Day 3 Lucky 15 Each-Way Tips

It’s Day Three and the runners move to the New Course at Cheltenham. The first big betting race of the day is the Pertemps Final and Sire Du Berlais looks to have favouritism but he went down to Cuneo on Boxing Day and needs to show more to take this. I will stick to one of my choices from earlier in the year, Theclockisticking. Stuart Edmunds has kept him for this race since a fine second at Doncaster in December. Top weight for the 4.10 handicap chase is Janika and although the ground is desperate Henderson’s gelding has been at the head of the weights since entries were first published. This has not put off the champion trainer and it doesn’t put me off either, Janika can put in a good round. The Mares Hurdle at 4.50 may again go to number one on the racecard in the form of Posh Trish. The Nicholls mare won three on the spin in December and I think the trainer realised he had something special and put her away for the festival, she may take this. The last race on the card is an amateur riders contest and these riders don’t come any better than Mr Sam Waley-Cohen. His mount is The Young Master who won here at Cheltenham in November and although he was pulled up at Newbury at his latest out when not travelling, he is another who has been kept for the Festival.
