Game Week-32

All of these fixtures are the reverse of Game Week-17 which took place in mid-December 2023.

Saturday 06th

CRYSTAL PALACE v MAN CITY

12.30 in England

TNT Sport

Crystal Palace have scored 12 goals in the last 10 Premier League games and despite scoring 3 of those in Oliver Glassner’s opening game, are struggling to find the back of the net, rarely scoring more than 1 per game.

Those 3 goals scored were against 10-man Burnley, with all 3 going in after the sending-off.

Included in that were 3 goals in the home fixture against Sheffield United under the guidance of Roy Hodgson but other than those 2 fixtures that the Eagles twice scored 3 in, the rest have produced 6 goals from 8 games.

One was a ‘defeat to Nil’, 4 of those fixtures were ‘defeats to 1’ with the other 3 being draws by a 1-1 score.

On Tuesday, Crystal Palace suffered a defeat away at Bournemouth by a 1-0 score, with the goal conceded late on in proceedings.

It’s fair to say that Oliver needs to get his Army firing again.

Crystal Palace sit in 14th place with 30 points from 30 games completed.

Man City got back on track on Wednesday, gaining a Phil Foden inspired victory over Aston Villa at the Etihad.

After Roadie Rodri had scored the opener, which was cancelled out by a Villa equaliser, it was that Man Phil who scored a superb hat-trick to give City all 3 points and take home the Match Ball from a 4-1 scoreline.

Pep Guardiola left Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne on the bench, maybe asking if Phil could step up to the plate as the main Striker if called upon.

Mr Foden didn’t disappoint with his superb performance.

Following all of the midweek fixtures, Man City remain in 3rd place with 67 points, 1 adrift of Arsenal in 2nd and 3 away from Liverpool at the summit.

After this early Saturday Afternoon fixture at Selhurst Park, Man City head to Spain to face Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Tuesday in the 1st-leg of the Champions League Quarter-Final.

This is to try (one does say ‘try’) and explain the Champions League for the start of the 2024/25 season.

The first change is there will be 36 clubs taking part, not 32 and all 36 clubs will be in 1 Group, not split into 9 Groups of 4.

This is purely an example of the layout, done by John Newsome and is not a true reflection of who will be in the 36-team Group, however, a lot will be.

1- Man City
2- Arsenal
3- Real Madrid
4- Bayern Munich
5- PSG
6- Atletico Madrid
7- Borussia Dortmund
8- Barcelona
9- Liverpool
10- Bayer Leverkusen
11- AC Milan
12- Inter Milan
13- Juventus
14- Celtic
15- Porto
16- RB Salzburg
17- Qarabag
18- Union SG
19- Hajduk Split
20- FC Copenhagen
21- Brest
22- Monaco
23- Aston Villa
24- Ferencvaros
25- Maccabi Haifa
26- Maccabi Tel Aviv
27- PSV Eindhoven
28- Ajax
29- Feyenoord
30- FCSB
31- Red Star Belgrade
32- Slovan Bratislava
33- Girona
34- Rangers
35- Sporting
36- Benfica

There will be 4 pots of 9 teams with each team ranked.

So Pot 1 will have the Top 9 ranked teams, for example, if one says that the Top 8 clubs are the ones in this year’s Quarter-Finals, then the teams will be Man City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid, plus let’s add Liverpool as the 9th.

Again, this is purely an example but it will give one an idea of what will happen.

Pot 2 will have the teams ranked 10-18.

Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Celtic, Porto, RB Salzburg, Qarabag and Union SG.

Pot 3 will have the teams ranked 19-27.

Hajduk Split, FC Copenhagen, Brest, Monaco, Aston Villa, Ferencvaros, Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Tel Aviv and PSV Eindhoven.

Pot 4 will have the teams ranked 28-36.

Ajax, Feyenoord, FCSB, Red Star Belgrade, Slovan Bratislava, Girona, Rangers, Sporting and Benfica

Now for the fun bit, each team will get 2 opponents from each pot, again, for example-

Man City will get 2 opponents from Pot 1,

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Then 2 from Pot 2,

Celtic and Inter Milan.

2 from Pot 3,

Monaco and FC Copenhagen

Then finally 2 from Pot 4,

Ajax and Red Star Belgrade.

This will then mean that Man City will play 8 games, 4 at Home and 4 Away, NOT each team Home and Away.

For example,

Man City v Real Madrid
Borussia Dortmund v Man City
Man City v Celtic
Inter Milan v Man City
Man City v Monaco
FC Copenhagen v Man City
Man City v Ajax
Red Star Belgrade v Man City

This means that all 36 teams will get the chance to play against a Top Ranked Club, a Middle Ranked Club and a Lower Ranked Club with the fans guaranteed to see a Top Ranked Club at home.

With that example, Real Madrid will face Man City plus one other team from Pot 1, possibly Bayern Munich and so on.

Additionally, it’s unlikely that 2 teams will face each other from the same country, however, there is a chance that can happen, depending on how the Pots are divided.

Again, as an example, depending on who qualifies, say Pot 3 has 4 teams from the same country, then it is possible to match 2 up.

The point system stays the same so 3 for a victory and 1 for a draw and when all 288 Games have been completed, the Top 8 teams go into the last-16 knockout stage.

The teams finishing 9-24 then go into a Play-off round, to provide the other 8 teams for the last-16.

This will make the later games in the initial Group of 36 more exciting as a team that is in the bottom half can still make it to the last-16.

The last-16 doesn’t have country protection like now, so Man City could be immediately drawn against Arsenal or Liverpool etc to see who progresses to the Quarter-Finals.

From the outside looking in, this new system does seem more appealing and is essentially a way of warding off teams from breaking away and forming a European Super League.

EveryTip and John Newsome hope this New Champions League format has been explained adequately so everyone understands what will go on in Europe next season.

Once all 36 teams are confirmed and which Pot of the 4 that one’s club finds themselves in, it should be easy to follow.

Both these teams shared the points from a draw by a 2-2 score when Palace ventured North to the Etihad to take on City.

Jack Grealish scored first to give Man City a lead at the break.

Ricoh Lewis added a 2nd just after the restart and it appeared that Pep’s Blues would push on for the victory.

Not to be as Jean-Philippe Mateta scored for the away team midway through the 2nd-half before a very late penalty awarded to Palace allowed Michael Olise to get the equaliser in the 95th minute.

Betfred offer Crystal Palace at 8/1, the draw at 4/1 and slight Odds On 1/3 for Man City to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 16/5 that Kevin De Bruyne Scores Anytime and Evens 1/1 that Man City Score in Both Halves.

ASTON VILLA v BRENTFORD

15.00 in England

‘The battle of who will go to Germany for the Euros as a backup to Harry Kane or who will go to Ayia Napa for a jolly-up with his mates.’

Granted not the catchiest of headlines but basically Gareth Southgate has a choice to make between Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney as to who will go with England to the Euros because it is unlikely Gareth will take both.

That said, there is the possibility that all of the Euro’24 International Teams will be able to take 26 players to Germany, not the 23 that is the current squad limit.

This will be discussed at a UEFA meeting that will take place on the 8th of April.

So maybe, Gareth will be able to take both.

A strange-looking Aston Villa team suffered a defeat against Man City on Wednesday at the Etihad with the hosts gaining the victory by a 4-1 scoreline.

The Wild Boy Jhon Duran with the Villa goal that did equalise an earlier City Strike.

It is Jhon by the way, not John as in John Newsome.

Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez were missing through injury and John McGinn was serving the 3rd of a 3-game ban from his sending-off against Tottenham.

The conspiracy theorists out there would say that Unai Emery put out a weakened team because the Spaniard wants Man City to win the Title, not Arsenal, Unai’s ex-employers, who sacked the lad a few years ago.

Aston Villa remain in 4th place with 59 points from 31 games played.

Tottenham sit in 5th with 57 points but have only completed 30.

Due to the 4 goals conceded against Man City, Aston Villa now have a slightly inferior goal difference compared to Tottenham.

Aston Villa- scored 63 and conceded 46 (plus+17)

Tottenham- scored 62 and conceded 44 (plus+18)

Aston Villa host Lille at Villa Park on Thursday in the 1st-leg of the Europa Conference League Quarter-Final.

Brentford gained a point from a draw by a 0-0 score against Brighton on Wednesday.

That’s back-to-back draws for the Bees and the 3rd drawn game from the last 8 fixtures, the other 5 being defeats.

Brentford stay in 15th place with 28 points from 31 games completed.

Whilst no one is suggesting the Bees are in relegation danger, Thomas Frank just needs to keep an eye on things below and try to pick up a couple of wins, here and there, however, todays game against Villa away could be a tough ask.

Aston Villa gained the away day victory by a 2-1 score against Brentford at the GTech Stadium back in December.

Keane Lewis-Potter scored the opener for the Bees to give Brentford a lead at the break.

Unfortunately for the home faithful in attendance, the fortunes of their idols changed in the 71st minute when Ben Mee was shown a straight Red Card leaving Brentford a man-lite for the remainder of the game.

Aston Villa immediately took advantage of this with Alex Moreno scoring an equaliser before the ex-Brentford player Ollie Watkins got the winner in the 85th minute to knock the honey out of his ex-employers.

Betfred offer Aston Villa at slight Odds On 4/6, the draw at 3/1 and 4/1 for Brentford to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 9/2 that Ollie Watkins Scores First and 7/4 that Ivan Toney Scores Anytime.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

EVERTON v BURNLEY

15.00 in England

The Sean Dyche Derby.

Both of these teams come into this fixture following draws on Tuesday by the same 1-1 scoreline.

Everton gained a point against Newcastle at St James Park after Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a late penalty following a foul on Ashley Young that led to the dreaded VAR advising the on-field referee Tony Harrington to look at the monitor.

As most now know, once this occurs, usually a penalty is awarded.

Newcastle had scored early on and were the dominant team but saves from Jordan Pickford kept Everton in the game that eventually bore fruit with the goal late on and the point gained.

Dominic had gone 19 Premier League games without a goal so Lucky Number 20 for DCL.

However, that is 13 games for Everton without a victory which is a Premier League record.

The Toffee faithful have to go back to 1957 when their idols also went 13 Top Flight games without a win.

Everton sit in 16th place with 26 points from 30 fixtures played.

Burnley sit in 19th place with 19 points from 31 fixtures completed, following their drawn game against Wolves on Tuesday.

Jacob Bruun Larsen scored the opener for the Clarets before Wolves got an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

With no further goals, both teams shared the points.

It was Everton that gained the victory over Burnley at Turf Moor back in December.

Goals from Amadou Onana and Michael Keane, both in the 1st-half gave Sean Dyche’s new team the points from his old club by a 2-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Everton at slight Odds On 4/6, the draw at 3/1 and 4/1 for Burnley to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 5/1 that Dominic Calvert-Lewin Scores First and Evens 1/1 that there are Under 2.5 Goals.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds.)

FULHAM v NEWCASTLE

15.00 in England

Fulham were simply outplayed by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday.

After conceding 3 goals in the 1st-half, Tosin Adarabioyo scored for the Cottagers just after the restart, however, with no further goals, Marco Silva’s men suffered the defeat by a 3-1 scoreline.

Fulham were so poor that Marco Silva made 3 substitutions in the 33rd minute whilst trailing by 2 goals.

Forest then scored a 3rd.

Fulham remain in 13th place with 39 points from the full complement of 31 games completed.

Alexander Isak scored the opener against Everton on Tuesday at St James Park but despite Newcastle being the dominant team, the Magpies couldn’t take advantage and score more.

Paul Dummett, who came on as a late substitute for Lewis Hall, man-handled Ashley Young in the area that eventually saw the on-field referee, Tony Harrington, after going to look at the monitor, award Everton a penalty.

Martin Dubravka did get a hand on the spot-kick but it wasn’t enough, leaving Newcastle with a point from a draw by a 1-1 score.

Newcastle are down to the bare bones at the moment, hence the introduction of Paul who hasn’t seen much action for the Magpies over the past few years.

Newcastle sit in 8th place with 44 points from 30 games played.

Newcastle gained the home victory over Fulham at St James Park.

Goals from Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn gave Eddie’s Magpies all 3 points from a 2-0 score.

Betfred offer Fulham at 7/5, the draw at 13/5 and 7/4 for Newcastle to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 23/20 that Rodrigo Muniz Scores Anytime and 12/5 that Anthony Gordon Scores Anytime.

LUTON v BOURNEMOUTH

15.00 in England

Luton suffered the expected defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday, with the hosts getting the victory by a 2-0 score.

The last 13 Premier League fixtures for Luton have produced 1 Win, 4 Draws and 8 Losses.

The defeat leaves Luton in the final relegation place of 18th with 22 points from 31 games played.

Three points away from safety.

A single Justin Kluivert goal in the 79th minute was enough to give Bournemouth the victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday by a 1-0 scoreline.

Justin had only been on the pitch 15 minutes after starting on the bench.

The Cherries sit in 12th place with 41 points from 30 fixtures played.

If one remembers the Game Week-17 affair between these two teams at the Vitality was abandoned due to an on-field incident involving Tom Lockyer.

The rearranged game took place a few weeks ago on the 13th of March with the points going to Bournemouth from a 4-3 scoreline.

That was after Luton had taken a 3-goal lead at half-time.

Betfred offer Luton at 13/5, the draw at 3/1 and slight Odds On 10/11 for Bournemouth to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 9/5 that Carlton Morris Scores Anytime and slight Odds On 10/11 that Dominic Solanke Scores Anytime.

WOLVES v WEST HAM

15.00 in England

Rayan Ait-Nouri scored on the stroke of half-time against Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday, to equalise an earlier Claret goal.

With no further significant action, both teams shared the points from a draw by a 1-1 score, which was the popular result on Tuesday, with 3 of the 5 fixtures finishing in the same 1-1 scoreline.

Wolves drop to 11th place with 42 points from 30 games completed.

West Ham themselves gained a point from a draw by a 1-1 score against Tottenham at the London Stadium on Tuesday.

After conceding an early Spurs goal, Kurt Zouma scored the equaliser to take both teams in level at the break.

The ball somehow went in off Cat Man Kurt’s upper back.

With no further goals in the 2nd-half, both the Londoners shared the points from the popular Tuesday Night scoreline of 1-1.

The Hammers remain in 7th place with 45 points from the full 31 games played.

West Ham head to Germany on Thursday to face Bayer Leverkusen in the 1st-leg of the Europa League Quarter-Final.

West Ham gained the home victory over Wolves at the London Stadium back in mid-December.

Mohammed Kudus scored twice in the 1st-half before Jarrod Bowen added a 3rd after the break to give David Moyes Boys the points from a 3-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Wolves at 6/4, the draw at 12/5 and 7/4 for West Ham to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 7/2 that Rayan Ait-Nouri Scores Anytime and 7/4 that Jarrod Bowen Scores Anytime.

BRIGHTON v ARSENAL

17.30 in England

Sky Sports

Brighton gained a point from a draw by a 0-0 score against Brentford at the GTech Stadium on Wednesday.

There’s not much else to be said about that game other than it wasn’t a defeat.

There’s a bit of speculation about whether Roberto De Zerbi will stay at the Amex or move on in the Summer with Anfield or the Allianz Arena being possible destinations.

That’s for the future, for now, it’s a late Saturday Afternoon outing against the potential Premier League Champions.

Brighton sit in 9th place with the same 43 points as Chelsea but with a slightly superior goal difference to the Blues, however, have played a game more (30) than Chelsea (29).

Arsenal gained the expected victory over Luton at the Emirates on Wednesday, with 2, 1st-half goals giving Mikel’s Young Guns the points from a 2-0 scoreline.

Martin Odegaard scored plus a Daiki Hashioka own goal.

Arsenal jumped to the summit of the Premier League table with 68 points from 30 games played, however, went back to 2nd following Liverpool’s victory on Thursday, with Jurgen’s Reds at the Top on 70 points, Mikel’s Young Guns in 2nd with 68 and Pep’s High Flying Blues 3rd with 67 points, all with 8 fixtures remaining.

All to play for.

Arsenal host Harry Kane and his Bayern Munich mates at the Emirates on Tuesday in the 1st-leg of the Champions League Quarter-Final.

Arsenal gained the home victory over Brighton at the Emirates in the Game Week-17 encounter.

After a goalless 1st-half, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz got the Gunners goals after the break to give Arsenal the win by a 2-0 score.

Betfred offer Brighton at 4/1, the draw at 16/5 and slight Odds On 3/5 for Arsenal to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 8/5 that Bukayo Saka Scores Anytime and 11/8 that there are Under 2.5 Goals.

Sunday 07th

MANCHESTER UNITED v LIVERPOOL

15.30 in England

Sky Sports

Once again, a slightly earlier start time in England for the usual Sunday Afternoon Sky Sports TV Slot.

Manchester United conceded 2 goals against Chelsea on Thursday before 20 minutes were on the clock and then decided to start playing.

Alejandro Garnacho took advantage of a bad back pass from the Blues Midfielder and scored the first before Bruno Fernandes headed home the equaliser to take both teams in level at the break.

The game against Chelsea resembled a Basketball match at times with one team attacking and then the other going for it.

Eventually, the tables turned, with United scoring a 3rd in the 67th minute when Alejandro Garnacho scored his 2nd, heading home from a superb pass by Antony who crossed the ball with the outside of his left foot.

With an extra 8 minutes added to the 90, United somehow, somehow snatched a defeat from the jaws of victory.

Diogo Dalot was adjudged to have fouled a Blues player in the area and after the on-field referee Jarred Gillett pointed to the spot, the dreaded VAR took 2 minutes to confirm what everyone knew, it was a 2nd penalty for Chelsea.

Cole Palmer coolly slotted home as with the first spot-kick and with the 8 extra minutes over, surely a draw was on the cards.

Not so, Chelsea got a corner and the Manchester United players switched off, allowing Cole to score a 3rd, to not only claim the Match Ball but inflict the defeat on United by a 4-3 scoreline.

It was a brilliant game to watch for the neutral out there but it was a devastating end to the game for the Red Devils in attendance, who at least didn’t have far to travel home.

Manchester United stay in 6th place with 48 points from 30 games played.

Now 9 points adrift of Tottenham and 11 away from Aston Villa in 4th.

It looks like it will be the Europa League or Conference League next season.

The question now is will Erik Ten Hag will be in charge of the European Adventure?

One would say no!

Liverpool gained the expected home victory over Sheffield United on Thursday.

Darwin Nunez scored the opener after closing down the Sheffield United Goalkeeper who was too slow and kicked the ball against Darwin that went straight into the net.

Just after the interval, the unfortunate Conor Bradley deflected the ball past his own ‘Keeper to level the game before the brilliant Alexis Mac Allister scored a superb 2nd in the 76th minute.

Coady Gakpo scored a 3rd Liverpool goal late on to give Jurgen’s Reds the win by a 3-1 scoreline.

Liverpool jumped back to the summit of the Premier League table with 70 points from 30 games completed.

Liverpool host Atalanta at Anfield on Thursday in the 1st-leg of their Europa League Quarter-Final.

At Anfield back in December, both teams failed to find the back of the net with the game finishing in a draw by a 0-0 score.

Enough said.

Betfred offer Manchester United at 100/30, the draw at 16/5 and Odds On 7/10 for Liverpool to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 3/1 that Mo Salah Scores First and 2/1 that there are Under 2.5 Goals.

SHEFFIELD UNITED v CHELSEA

17.30 in England

Note the unusual kick-off time, which has rightly, upset the Chelsea faithful who have to travel up to Sheffield for the game and somehow get back to London once the game finishes around 20.00 hours.

The reason for the change is that the Steel City is hosting the Sheffield Half-Marathon earlier in the day so the powers that be want the later start.

Added to that, the game is not on TV in England.

James from Swinton, nowhere near Bramall Lane got a bit confused about the Sheffield Half-Marathon and whilst shopping in the local Spar turned to the lovely Jade and enquired,

‘I can’t find a Marathon love, will eating one of these Duo-Snickers be the same?’

Jade, as always, just shook her head laughing at the daft Little Blunt.

Sheffield United put in a good shift against Liverpool at Anfield but ultimately were not good enough and suffered the expected defeat from a 3-1 scoreline.

The Blades Goalkeeper Ivo Grbic was at fault for the Liverpool opening goal, delaying kicking the ball away and seeing the Striker close down and have the clearance deflect into the back of the net.

Fortunately for the Blunts in attendance and the ones watching at home, Liverpool didn’t push on and surprisingly, Sheffield United scored an equaliser just after the break, by way of an Own Goal to make the scores level.

Pep Guardiola was over the moon with the Blades, sat in his 3 Bedroom Terrace back in Manchester with a glass of Rioja in hand wearing a Sheffield United jersey with ‘Currie’ on the back.

Mikel Arteta was the same in his Bungalow in North London supping a San Miguel wearing a Blade Shirt with ‘Deane’.

Unfortunately, both shirts were thrown at the respective cats when Liverpool scored a 2nd and a 3rd to ultimately get the victory.

Sheffield United stay at the foot of the Premier League table with 15 points from 30 games played.

For the first 20 minutes of the game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, Chelsea were superb scoring twice to get a comfortable lead.

Conor Gallagher and a converted Cole Palmer penalty put the home team in a commanding position.

Then Manchester United started to play and scored twice in the space of 5 minutes to take both teams in level at the break.

United scored a 3rd and with 90 minutes up on the clock, a further 8 minutes were added.

In the 97th minute, Chelsea were awarded a 2nd penalty that Cole Palmer converted, with most now assuming a draw was about to happen.

Not so, Cole picked up the ball and with the aid of a deflection, scored the winner in the 99th minute to somehow give Chelsea the victory by a 4-3 scoreline.

As the ex-Bramall Lane Midfielder Chris Kamara would say, unbelievable Jeff.

Chelsea sit in 10th place with the same 43 points as Brighton, however, have only completed 29 fixtures, not the 30 the Seagulls have played.

As with 4 of the 9 Game Week-17 fixtures from mid-December, at Stamford Bridge, it was the home team that took the spoils.

Three away teams gained a victory with 2 drawn games.

After a goalless 1st-half, goals from Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson gave Chelsea the victory over Sheffield United by a 2-0 scoreline.

Betfred offer Sheffield United at 6/1, the draw at 4/1 and Odds On 2/5 for Chelsea to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 7/2 that Cole Palmer Scores First and slight Odds On 5/6 that Chelsea Score in Both Halves.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds).

TOTTENHAM v NOTTINGHAM FOREST

18.00 in England

Sky Sports

The Brennan Johnson Derby.

Again, note the unusual kick-off time for this Sunday Afternoon Football.

The fixture was originally scheduled for Monday Night Football on the 8th in the usual Sky Sports slot, however, has been changed due to planned Strikes by the Rail Companies on the Monday.

This will mean the Forest fans will travel down on the Rattler early on Sunday Afternoon, whilst the Chelsea faithful are going in the opposite direction up to Sheffield at the same time.

Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson scored early against West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday to give Spurs the lead.

The home team equalised soon after and with no further goals, both London teams shared the points from a draw by a 1-1 score.

Remember, Brennan was signed from Nottingham Forest last Summer so will want to put in a good performance against his old mates.

Tottenham remain in 5th place with 57 points from 30 games played.

Aston Villa sit 4th with 59 points but have played a game more than Ange’s Spurs.

Nottingham Forest stunned Fulham on Tuesday, gaining a brilliant home victory at the City Ground by a 3-1 score.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White with the Forest goals, all scored in the 1st-half.

Fulham did pull a goal back just after the restart but Forest held on for the 3 points.

Nottingham Forest remain in 17th place with 25 points from 31 games played.

Luton are in the final relegation spot, 3 points adrift of Forest.

There is still the possibility of a further point deduction but that’s for the future, all the Tricky Trees can do is keep their branches above the relegation zone.

It was Tottenham that gained the away day victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last December.

Richarlison scored in the 1st-half to give Spurs a lead at the break.

Dejan Kulusevski then added a 2nd just after the hour mark and with no further goals, Tottenham took home the points from a 2-0 score.

Betfred offer Tottenham at Odds On 2/5, the draw at 4/1 and 13/2 for Nottingham Forest to come away with all 3-points.

Betfred offer 11/2 that Brennan Johnson Scores First and Evens 1/1 that there are Over 3.5 Goals.

(If your pre-match First Goalscorer bet scores First and then scores a Second, Betfred DOUBLE the odds.

If they score a Third, Betfred TREBLE the odds).

There hasn’t been any action in the Scottish Premier League this midweek but the Big Game comes up at Noon in Scotland on Sunday.

The Old Firm Derby between Rangers and Celtic takes place at Ibrox this weekend, with the winners cementing their place at the Top of the Pub League.

The loveable OzScot over in Melbourne can’t control the excitement and was seen in the local Off Licence purchasing copious amounts of CastleMaine XXXX and Prawns for the Barbie in anticipation of the Derby on Sunday.

The unusual thing about the Old Firm Derby is, there are only Home Fans allowed in the respective stadiums.

That phenomenon is going to change from next season with the prospect of away fans being allowed at Ibrox and Celtic Park for the 2024/25 campaign.

Rangers and Celtic are to provide Old Firm Derby ticket allocations of around 5% for away supporters from next season.

Rangers will provide around 2,500 tickets to the Celtic faithful and Celtic will give around 3,000 to the Rangers fans.

The Scottish Professional Football League made the announcement following engagement with both clubs.

So Ibrox will be jam-packed full of Teddy Bears on Sunday with Braveheart/Kylie and lad sitting on the couch in Ozland cheering on their team.

He’s still Spinning Around.
