History of the Racecourse
The racecourse has a rich racing history. According to historians, racing started over 300 years ago. By 1752, there was a well-established Jockey Club. This Jockey Club would then popularize horseracing in this town.
The running track’s founders opened it officially in 1767. Before its official launch, a couple of races occurred in this venue. The first-ever grandstand cost its owners £1000.
Unfortunately, racing came to a halt in 1798 and 1805. At this time, the course was dilapidated, making racing activities impossible. But by the 19th century, the course was home to three major annual racing events.
Richard Watt, a local trainer, stole the limelight by training racehorses locally. These horses performed incredibly well on race days. Four of the racehorses he trained won the coveted St. Leger.
The racecourse flourished for hundreds of years and today hosts several prestigious events, including the Hilary Needler Trophy and the Beverley Bullet Sprint. It has also undergone massive developments in recent years and is now an excellent racing ground.
The Course
The racecourse is oval and right-handed. Towards the finishing line, the track is uphill. To the right, it has a dogleg. It is one mile and three furlongs long.
Flat Course
The flat course raises gradually to the right hand. Horses that get pushed out during the small events barely recover. The track has sharp turns that challenge racehorses and jockeys to the core.
Main Racing Events
Beverley Bullet Sprint Takes
The Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes is a thrilling listed flat race for racehorses aged three years and above.
This race is five furlongs long, and the racehorses have to outrace each other quickly. Chookie Heiton and Take Cover are the horses that hold a good record in this event. Each one of them has won twice.
Hilary Needer Trophy
The Hilary Needer is another big race here. It is a well-attended racing event with plenty of betting opportunities. The event is scheduled to take place in May each year.

Betting online comes with many benefits. For instance, you get more time to analyze the races online. You can also liaise with professional tipsters to increase your winning rates.
Before betting online, you need to identify an ideal betting site first. Luckily, most renowned online betting providers offer betting markets from this racecourse. Once you confirm that a particular online platform has these fixtures, you can sign up with them.
It is prudent to bet on a site with convenient payment methods. Depositing and withdrawing your winnings should be safe and hassle-free. When it comes to betting, keep an open mind. Try different strategies and options until you figure out the best betting strategy. The golden rule is that you should stake small for the first bets and increase the stake as you get better at it.
Bettors should know that the internet reception within the racecourse is relatively poor. That said, placing your bets before you get to the racing grounds is wise. Otherwise, you will have a hard time betting on time. When grappling with the poor reception on the grounds, betting from the shops within the running track is your only option.

Our Final Thoughts on Beverley
This running track has a busy calendar. The weather is generally forgiving, but most of the events throughout the year are non-racing.
Racing events draw out huge crowds, and the town is always vibrant during race days. Moreover, the locals are always looking forward to the action.
As a punter who wants to win some money through these races, you need to follow them closely. Part of this includes looking at the recent performance of the racehorses, the jockeys, and the trainers. A horse with an impeccable record is always likely to give you a return on your stake.
